Palace was actually the #2 club in this instance and only got away from UEFA's wrath because Textor sold his share.

Football clubs should be member-owned. If your club is in this list, find yoursf a new one.

What's even the point of owning any/all those clubs? That's basically penny stock trading.

Most terrible thing in all of football. And sports. It’s anti-competition and a money-laundering scheme. It is extremely unfair and I don’t see why anyone but businesspeople would support this concept. Imagine being fan of a club that you know only serves as a feeder for someone else. They always come with a hierarchy
If that’s the future of football, I pass

They're consistently happy because their masters will buy them players they normally wouldn't have. Instead of finishing 12th they finish 6th, and maybe might even end up having one good season like BTFOgo did last year. Bahia, Bragantino and Botafogo fans eagerly wag their tails for their owners, no matter what happens. Something about starving dogs and biting hands.

Most of those clubs went bankrupt or were in a bad financial situation before those groups bought them. The eternal merchant sees an opportunity, he grabs it like it's his destiny.

That is the most terrible part of it all, yes. "Thanks for buying my beloved club and turning it into a servant for another club and your personal profit, master. Please don't ever drop us"
