Do any pro athletes hate/loathe their own sport more than professional basketball players?

The last super star I remember that seemed to actually love the 'sport' of basketball was Kobe Bean Bryant.

The players that seem to truly love their sport imo are hockey and soccer players.

That's because blacks only really love money, they only play basketball because of it. Welfare programs and section 8 gives them cheap food and cheap rent and yet they still want more "reparations". They are like jews without the work ethic. If NBA was more white you'll see more players playing for the love of the game.

Basketball has literally the most dynamic and complex offense of any major team sport. You can score in so many different ways; Stephen Curry, Shaquille, Michael Jordan, Derrick Rose, Hakeem, Charles Barkley, iverson. All different.

Curry - prefers golf and only played because his Dad played
Zion - prefers porn, anime, and food
Jokic - probably dreams every night of retiring loves horse racing 1000000x more than bball legitimately probably hates basketball
Embiid - prefers soccer
Giannis - prefers soccer
Luka - prefers videos games & soccer
Durant- prefers Twitter and IG / doesn't like to play hard and prefers to Bus Ride he also hates basketball fans with every fiber of his being
Westbrook - more interested in fashion and clothes
Kawhi - prefers baseball and literally couldn't pay him to play basketball
Lebron - prefers money and business (the ultimate money ball player) also I'm pretty sure he prefers football more
Morant - prefers guns doesn't seem not even one bit serious about the game of basketball
Edward's - only plays ball for the groupies
MJ - baseball and gambling
Barkley - boxing and football
Duncan - swimming and video games, retired from the sport and didn't want not even a single thing to do with it again
KYRIE - like kawhi can't even pay him to play sometimes prefers being a pothead retard, Kobe would have been disappointed in him.
Ben Simmons - .... LOOL!!

Tatum - maybe one of the ONLY superstar players currently playing that actually LIKES basketball no surprise he is a disciple of Kobe Bryant
WEMBY - Actual basketball nerd/geek/fan another exception to the rule like Tatum.

Snooker players hate snooker a lot of the time. Countless top players love to boast about how little practice they actually do, and how much they enjoy going out and doing other things instead.

But for basketball, it’s because the top players aren’t the ones who love basketball the most; the top players are just a bunch of tall people. There is no reason why tall people should all love the same sport, but they all get pushed into it nonetheless. It’s no surprise that half of them would rather be doing something else for the same money. But they’re not going to quit because then they’d just be Amazon delivery drivers or burger-flippers.

Well, it's not only because they are tall. A lot of these guys grow up playing a lot of sports, they stand out because of their insane athleticism, but they pick the sport they are best at. It is entirely possible a third world brownoid like Giannis would like soccer more and was good at it, but he went into soccer because his family and people around him told him he'd be better suited to basketball.

Every once in a while you do get a Ben Simmons type who clearly hates playing basketball and was just doing it for a paycheck but I think that's pretty rare. Someone like Zion - I think he likes basketball, but he is a 70 IQ retard who can't let go of base pleasures, like most primitives.

It sucks because they don't love it and just want to load manage and collect checks. The players in the 80s and 90s loved basketball because back then it was still a somewhat fringe sport that only hardcores enjoyed.

Currently one I know from football is Ter Stegen, Barca's GK. Confesed a few times he doesn't watch games and he doesn't know any player outside his teammates and some exceptions.

More famous is Bale. Used to be a global superstar but it was known that he hated the game. He loves golf tho.

And more retro, one of my idols Batistuta said that "it's what pays the bills".

Bale lines soccer when it's for Wales. I bet he still watches Wales play.
As for the "profesionel" thing I totally understand it. I was a foodie until I worked restaurants for a decade. I was a car guy until I drove a cab for a decade. I am still a gun guy but know so many soldiers/ex soldiers who are burnt out on guns not from PTSD but just having to shoot so damn much.
Like with many things, if you really have the spark you can rekindle the flame once you are not living it 24/7. But I understand if they are sick of it now and for the rest of their lives.

Yeah Bale loved playing for Wales but it was more a national pride thing that liking the sport.

Add to the burnout all the long list of injuries that players (like Batistuta) carries when they retire. At one point he said that he was begging his doctor to amputate his legs, that he couldn't walk.

I imagine that added to the hatred to the game.

Well that was his fault playing so damn long. I never get busted up seeing athletes cry about injury. They got the money and the glory they knew what they were doing. If they don't love it though, no problem. I personally love seeing a workmanlike performance. Especially in combat sports, a cold hearted technician who just takes guys apart because he knows what to do, doesn't give a f, I love that.
