They are just forcing tournaments at the USA, a city like Charlotte has not many italians or brazilians so of course it wont draw attention. America has the structure for such tournaments but not fans

Yes probably, but also I think we might have finally hit the point of over saturation where people are geniuenly starting to lose interest. From a personal perspective I haven’t even bothered looking up highlights from this shit, and it’s not like I’m trying to avoid it - I simply do not care, and I have to be reminded by the news that this thing is going on.

It’s been predicted for a long time, but I think we might be finally seing the decline of football, annoyingly predictable that it happened at the hands of pure unadulterated greed.

He's a greedy retard who chose the US for the burgerbucks but he overestimated the interest of the gringos for this sport. It should've been played in Europe.

To be fair it wasn't an absolutely terrible idea because it's working as a nice practice for the real WC next year. Everyone can be prepared for the bullshit weather delays now.

It also doesn't really work because after the group stage you don't know where your team is playing and the US is huge. How are you supposed to plan it. Not to mention its expensive to spend weeks here especially with Brazil bucks

Never. Football executives are basically politicians but dumber and more corrupt. If you asked him, he would say that he has never made a mistake in his life.

the tournament isn't a bad idea but hosting in a nation where people prefer to watch half time show over sports isn't a very good idea.

If Fluminense and Inter played in your city (assuming you're not a tricolor) on the middle of the evening, would you leave work early and give FIFA R$250 (with the special emergency damage control discount) to watch the game?
