i think his friend got a porsche CGT a while back, the previous owner that sold it never changed the tires, these cars are considered part of the "holy trinity" so they're just assets for most people to hold value, they don't really drive them.
so when paul's friend got it, the tires pressure is good, thus the sensor is not lighting up, but the tire itself is pretty old and lost alot of it's elasticity, it is hard and no longer works as intended, they didn't know about this thinking the car worth more than 2-3 million will surely have top notch consumables all the time.
just an unfortunate event all around, and paul as i said was just a passenger, he loved the CGT but never managed to drive it before so this was sort of bucket list for him.
