The rich get richer. Even those 10m for Sundowns and Wydad will be enough to turn their league into bundes tier lopsidedness. Good job Infantino

that's like a cool 1 billion. how do they expect to recoup that money if stadiums are empty and nobody wacthes it on tv?

FIFA got that 1 billion from DAZN, who got it from Saudi Arabia, and then FIFA would later announce Saudis won the rights to host 2034 WC. This first edition of CWC was funded by bribery and the 2029 WC will be funded by whoever wants to pay 1 billion to host the 2038 WC.

The problem is that all clubs still think they are "close to ascending". Buyern thinks they will be CL winners regularly again. Portugal and Dutch clubs think they are almost there and can compete with French and Italian teams. The chasm will just get bigger and bigger.

So Infantino and his crooks keep dividing and conquering

?
Aside from their threepeat, their intervals between UCL wins have been getting shorter, not longer. If they win one before 2032 they'll still be on track to have a quite regular ~10 year cycle, their 2020 win just came way early.

Flamengo's earned prize was 10% of the club's income last year. And Brazilian clubs are probably losing 30% of the prize in US federal taxes too. That's not to say the money isn't welcome, but Flamengo, Palmeiras, and Botafogo (the latter owned by Textor's Eagle Group) were already in a significant level of financial disparity compared to the rest of the country. It's not like $30mi can single-handedly destroy our league.

One can only hope that they all pay the price in form of injuries and exhaustion during the season. The last thing football needs is the richest clubs getting more money
The tragedy of the Bundesliga is that, apart from Bayern expanding their lead, Dortmund will get the second-highest amount to do absolutely nothing of value

After all, this CWC was about 2 brazilian teams against 5 EUROPEAN TEAMS.

The 'Best Club of the World', Champion of the CWC 2025, using 12/32 slots of participation, the largest participation, of course will be an european team, right? Heh.

What? Buyern competed for every single CL trophy for the last 20 years. Being a half final or final regular and more often than not playing one or two early two leg finals. Draw luck is a thing in the CL and the rest is decide by daily form and stupid yellows in a single game final that might cripple both teams and lead to absolute slurpers.
