It's no news that European football is less intense than South American football.
In any case, there is a philosophy in European football today that big teams are almost obliged to play excessively positional football and value possession.
Whereas in Brazil, results are still valued, with a lot of very competitive teams, with less technical quality but close to the European clubs.
The technical difference will only overlap with results in teams like PSG, Bayern, Real Madrid and so on.
The fact that the Brazilian level is close to the European level shouldn't surprise anyone.

Fluminense spent 13 rounds in last place in last year's Brazilian championship.
The Carioca championship involves 4 big teams.
If it's the São Paulo championship then it's even worse, where today you have 6 big teams in the first division of the Brazilian championship.

Carioca is the state championship that involves Botafogo, Flamengo and Fluminense, the three teams that beat European teams in this championship.
Rio de Janeiro state championship.
Now explain to me how this Fluminense team that only plays with shit spent 13 rounds in last place in Serie A last year. They escaped relegation in the last two rounds.

All the data shows that there is only a superior intensity in Europe when the temperature of the game is ignored.
In hot climates, European teams have lower intensity.
Just as on cold days the intensity of the Brazilian league is higher than that of Europe.
basically if you make a basic adjustment the Brazilian league is more intense in any parameter.
