I understand why outsiders wouldn't watch it. It's getting harder and harder to watch for nationals as well. Competition has become extremely lopsided, not only regarding the actual winners.
Generally, there are many things to play for. Some teams/clubs know they only play to survive in the league, others play for the EL spot, others for the CL spots, and only a few can actually aim for titles. Everyone wants to develop, but there are tiers of strength. It has always been this way. You follow and support your club and that's usually enough. For most fans, it doesn't matter that Bayern always wins the title - they care about their club and its development and rivalries. But it has been getting more and more fucked up, and the memories of a more balanced Bundesliga adding to the attractiveness are fading
