There is a reason Marcus Smart and Deandre Ayton fell into the lap of Rob Pelinka and the Los Angeles Lakers:
> Marcus Smart is NOT the player he once was with the Boston Celtics, and he just CANNOT stay healthy at all nowadays.
> Nobody wants Deandre Ayton. Ayton has been on two NBA teams, and both the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers could NOT wait to get rid of him.
Ayton may be better than the other guys the Lakers have on the roster at Center, BUT with his attitude problems and refusal to play hard at all times, Ayton's probably not the answer at C for the Lakers either.
