How am I a tourist, this was actually entertaining to watch a few years ago when we couldn't know for certain who would win after the first mountain stage and now we're gonna have a predetermined winner for the next 5+ years

Froome was based and was no where near as dominant. Armstrong was caught and had to give up all his titles. Nice try though.

The strange predicament of cycling fans. We all hate the dominant riders of the peloton, still we also dislike it when outliers win. Mrckx, Hinault, Indurain, Armstrong,... an now Pogacar. They all suffered the same fate.

What is the psychological reason for it? Why do cycling fans root for the underdog, but hate it when they win?
