The Chicago Fire soccer team's performance has been inconsistent in recent years. While they did improve in 2023 by accumulating 40 points for the first time since 2019, they still finished 13th in the Eastern Conference, missing the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year. Their performance has been described as "another typical Chicago Fire season" despite some brief positive stretches.

But MLS fags told me that Berhalter was the reason the USMNT was so good why is Chicago doing so bad if they have the American Guardiola?

Yeah but if the best the fire can do is tie. They have no chance against the two New York teams they have to have to secure a post season berth this year.

change the league to allow promotion/relegation so they can figure their shit out in a lower division like they're supposed to
(if they're getting relegated, i dunno; mls is too shitty to watch, due in part to the lack of promotion/relegation)

pro/rel bringing in fans is just cope. all mls needs is a much higher salary cap/floor and take away the other roster rules.
i'm sure whatever euro team you're a fan of is always one of the top teams in their league and never close to relegation

oof maybe baldie really is a meme coach.
As a Chicago native, I hope they get their shit together before the new stadium kicks off. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them playing at soldier field but would rather they play closer.

Thank you once again for helping me keep my thread alive for two days. I will post pictures of the Chicago fire stadium construction soon!
