Nobody, the establishment wont allow it

Reminds me of Girona last year and how they got destroyed by refs because la liga officials were pissing and shitting themselves thinking of an outsider breaking into top2

Therefore a top4 rotation consisting of Liverpool Arsenal City Chelsea, this is the script for the rest of the decade or until some other oil team shows up.

The likes of Villa or Newcastle wouldn't really be a direct comparison. An equivalent would be something like Wolves winning it this year. The other factor is that City, Liverpool, Arsenal etc are unlikely to all be that weak at the same time again.

the difference now I'd say is that the gap between top teams and midtable teams has gotten smaller.
the real difference is between the teams that can consistently stay in the premier league and the yoyo clubs. Also, keep in mind that for the past two years, the newly promoted clubs went straight back down, so for 3 seasons straight we will have the same 17 teams in the prem getting that fat prem money

so the real equivalent to the leicester run in 2025/26 is if one of leeds/burnley/sunderland win the league

Thus, it would not be surprising if there won't be a next Leicester for 5,000 years.

Holy shit you absolute fucking retard. People didn't care about Leicester because they had never been champions before, actually no one gave the slightest shit about that. People cared because they were the biggest relegation candidate and 5000 to 1 underdogs.

The OP is quite clearly not talking about 5000-1 outsiders when he suggests Villa, Newcastle or Forest. If Leicester had been around the 100-1 mark, it would still have been a surprise. If anyone outside of the top six, to be generous, had won it then it would be a confirmed happening and a pretty big surprise too.

Yes and Leeds are 500-1 iirc with the other two rank outsiders at 1000-1. Brighton are 125-1 which makes them the bookies favs out of those who are almost certainly not going to win it this year.

Aston Villa or Newcastle United winning it would be like Liverpool winning it in '19, a club that used to win it before finally wins it again after a gorillion years.
Forest too to a lesser extent, since they have only one league title but 2 champions so they've got some pedigree already.
A Leicester City equivalent would be Ipswich Town or Southampton.

You're likely slightly younger than me. A year in 2005 used to be around 10% or your entire life so far. A year in 2015 used to be around 5% of your life so far. A year now is around 3% of your life so far. You're probably less than halfway through your life, but by the time you've doubled your age you'll feel like you've lived less than 30% more time than you have so far.

An outsider can win it again. An outsider priced at 5000-1 won't happen because it'll cap at 1000 or below. Anyone around 100-1 would be considered an outsider as well and that's all Leicester were despite the 5000-1 meme price. I'm not going put my money where my mouth is just yet but clubs such as West Ham could win the title if clubs like Leicester can.

no club is going to jump up in the space of one year from where west ham are now. west ham themselves could improve over time to villa/newcastle tier and have a chance.
you're definitely not going to see a yoyo team suddenly go from relegation candidate to champions, the financial gap is way bigger now.

Correct, won't happen in a year. Villa's reappearance at the top and performance levels over the last 2 years or so shows that teams can improve quickly enough to spring a challenge when things come together and the right people are in charge, forest too, and therefore we should at least consider that another club of similar standing may go a step further than the aforementioned and win it.
