I just found out something bizarre about F1
You know those pit stops they make where they change tyres? This is apperantly completely artificial. The tyre makers can easily make tyres that last an entire race without degrading but F1 specifically asks them not to, because it increases excitement/better entertainment
I dont want to see any F1 fans justify this joke of a ”sport” by calling it an engineering challenge anymore

No, an F1 driver cannot finish a race on the same set of tires, even if they wanted to. F1 regulations mandate that drivers must use at least two different types of dry-weather tires during a race. This means they must make at least one pit stop for a tire change.
Here's why:

Safety:
Tire degradation is a significant factor in F1. Using the same tires for an entire race, especially a dry race, would lead to excessive wear, potentially causing a blowout and creating a dangerous situation for the driver and other competitors.

Performance:
Different tire compounds offer varying grip and performance characteristics. F1 teams strategically choose tires for different race conditions and stints to optimize performance.
Regulations:
The FIA (governing body of F1) has specific rules about tire usage during races, requiring the use of multiple dry-weather compounds. Failure to comply can result in disqualification.
Strategy:
Tire strategy is a critical aspect of F1 racing. Teams plan their pit stops and tire choices to gain a competitive advantage. If a team were allowed to finish on one set of tires, it would eliminate a major component of race strategy.
