There's nothing kino about December (or the Qatar World Cup) itself. Qatar originally promised to hold the cup in summer because they'd be using cooling technology in the stadiums, but turns out they lied. The schedule changes needed to fit the World Cup into winter were downright terrible.
The World Cup should always be held in the season. July is the best option all in all, summer for most people. It has proven to be the best for season schedule and is also tradition. But sometimes I think that club season would be better off following the calendar year
