We don't have a lot of team names that go CITY DESCRIPTOR ANIMAL, it's usually just the city and animal/other.
NFL has no teams with descriptors.
NBA has no teams with descriptors.
MLB has several color descriptors: Red Sox, White Sox, and technically Blue Jays though at is the name of the bird
NHL has a handful of colors as well, Red Wings, Golden Knights
College Football has many teams, but at the highest level you have still only a few, Crimson Tide, Fighting Irish

A typical football stadium has one main section behind one goal where most of the noise comes from. That’s where the organized hardcore fans are. They tend to rely on chants and screaming and flares and choreos and so on, these people are somewhat unlikely to play instruments in the first place and just have no concept of it. So they aren’t common in the main section

The Green Bay Packers probably being the most famous "where the hell is that" team that everyone here knows. I don’t need the 18 biggest cities to be the Bundesliga members. Schalke is part of Gelsenkirchen, which is a rustbelt shithole and not particularly large. Kaiserslautern barely has 100,000 people. And yet, the vast majority of fans want them in their ideal Bundesliga. But there tends to be potential for fan identity and maybe also success and profit in big cities. You can’t write German football (or sports) history without Hamburg and Berlin and so on
There’s a reason I didn’t criticize the Packers, they are older and as organic as it gets as far as I know. And they represent a larger region, don’t they? It’s the Ducks I somewhat consider useless and dishonest

I was cool when I was a kid for my family to go Disneyland one day and then a Angels game the other without changing hotel rooms, so I like the Angels. Ducks probably would have been fun too. For example, the San Francisco 49ers do not actually play in San Francisco but instead play in Levi's Stadium, in a town called Santa Clara, with a population of 120K people, which is over an hour's drive away.

Santa Clara does not have a train station. There is not even a bus service from San Fran to Santa Clara. If you are a /lifelong/ resident of Frisco, your only choice is to spend over two hours in the car in order to watch your "local" team.

Keep in mind that these """people""" unironically set off early just so they can spend a few hours eating hot dogs in a car park before the "game" begins. Their entire "game day" literally revolves around traffic, advertisements and junk food.
