I get them being sensitive over Hillsborough or Jota.

its actually quite an interesting read, and just goes to show that autistic german analysis doesnt always count for much (albeit we're only a few games in)
>The case of Nick Woltemade is different. He is 23, a good year older than Wirtz, but became a regular player in a first division team only after scoring two goals against Heidenheim nine months ago. At the age when Wirtz won the double with Leverkusen, Woltemade was playing on loan in the German third tier for a season.
>It is unclear how well he will perform in the Champions League. He has not played in the competition because Stuttgart did not include him in their squad for it last season. He has not yet scored against big teams, his most important goal coming in the cup final against the third-tier side Arminia Bielefeld.
>He is a player with virtually no track record. At the European Under-21 Championship this summer, he was the top scorer – one of the oldest players in one of the oldest teams. The best footballers, such as Lamine Yamal, Bellingham, Jamal Musiala and Wirtz, do not take part in such tournaments having long since outgrown the level.
>Woltemade is unpredictable, his dribbling, passing and shooting are not found in the textbooks; they are unique, with no international comparison. Unlike other top players, his centre of gravity is rarely at the centre of the movement. He thrives on his free spirit and self-confidence and seems to want to reinvent the game at No 9.
>But he has not yet developed any consistency or patterns – not in his first touch, not in his combination play, not in his timing on headers, not in his shooting. His goals are not the logical consequence of excellent actions and skills. His excellence is not repeatable. And he still has to prove that he can last 50 games in a season, because he is tall but not robust.

True, it is fairly clinical.
For example I don't think Newcastle are genuinely worried about competing in the CL, certainly don't have the squad for it, as long as Woltemade has a better injury record than Isak (his goal output will certainly be worse) in the league and domestic cups it will be an upgrade of sorts because they'd have a more stable starting XI

So often I've watched a full match, went to see the highlights maybe the next day or whatever, and it's got like barely any of the meat of the game. Just shots on target and goals. Like, I get it, those are the big moments generally, but still. I want to see more fouls, more skills, more replays from different angles, etc.

I don't know if Sky does extended highlights as well. I imagine there's some legal contractual fuckery happening behind the scenes. They've scored 9 so, that's incorrect. It also isn't true anyway. I just went and counted them.
>United goal
Set piece
>Leeds goals
Three set pieces
>Forest goals
One set piece, but you could push the third into set piece even though it wasn't a deadball cross for fairness. Even then you could argue Zubmimendi's wasn't a set piece goal as it was a clearance and he just blooted it.

So 6 out of 9 if you're being harsh. 4 out of 9 if you're not.

That's what I was thinking as well. I guess Donnarumma has a lot more experience but still. I wouldn't have thought it would matter that much. But I suppose the keeper also has to get used to how the club wants to play while a side like City can just adapt cause their players are that good.

The last two managers we have were so called 'winners' but there lies the issue Man Utd have not been winning for ages and when they start losing games they do not know how to cope. That's why I would go and get Andoni Iraola from Bournemouth, he understands the Premier League and has shown this season even after losing four of his back five his team still performs.

>Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "If you look at the goals, we can avoid those goals. That was the biggest difference. We can do better, especially the second goal. We suffered goals we can avoid.

>"The biggest difference was when we had transitions, we didn't score. In the second half they did better in transition and we suffered in that moment.

>"We can do better, that is clear but again transitions - the third goal, lack of quality in the connection, people don't know who is going to the ball and then the guy is free to score. The first one he is in the middle of four guys and we can be aggressive in that moment.

>"In these kind of games we need to be perfect and in this game we were not perfect. The frustration is always the same because with the amount of chances we need to score goals.

>"We need to work on a lot of things for the next game."

Because, to me, it sounds like they're blaming City for the state they're in, rather than themselves. Yeah, City cheated but that is not the reason why they have a Championship level keeper at their club. If that was the case then both Chelsea and Liverpool would have the exact same problem. But they don't think that. They think those clubs can still win titles.
