Following? That sounds like people genuinely support them for real as their main interest. That's very unlikely. But of course, attention is rising. Woltemade is an interesting player in terms of style, and he had some hype going here. So Newcastle is in the news more often here and some people will watch them more often, maybe sympathize with them. No, people don't care about Newcasle as a club.
It is just that people like when a german national team player plays in a foreign league and is successful.
Because often many good german players would just transfer to Buyern and they would farm the league, or they would rot on the bench at Buyern.
Many people here prefer if a foreign club buys their players, instead of Buyern dominating the league by buying up the best talent.
