Probably one of the best histories in recent memory (regardless of the sport), wasn’t even in the majors at the start of the season
How do you beat this pitch?

The Blue Jays are playing team ball, a “pass the baton” approach between shorter swings and building innings together, whereas we’re relying too much on individual power and homers, resulting in fly and strike outs and empty innings.
How the FUCK do you go from Single-A to dominating game 5 of the World Series in the same calendar year?

Should have stayed on the Padres and had Suarez and Mason Miller to back him up, and had real offense from Merril, Arraez and Manny instead of 0 for Stanky lip Betts and Pedro Potheads

Even that’s grossly understating it. He didn’t make his major league debut until September and he started the year in single-A.

Throw in a way hitters aren't use to, it also seems there are very few 'react' hitters in the league where they struggle against pitchers they haven't seen

Back then, it didn't even seem like the Jays' deadline was very good. Varland struggled in his first month and there was no way of telling if Bieber would return 100% from rehab. Ty France and Dominguez were okay deadline moves and then the playoffs started and Varland and Bieber delivered massively.

A game 5 starter has literally a 0% chance of pitching again in game 6. Now if Game 7 goes to extra innings or something then maybe but even that's unlikely unless we get another 18 inner.

i just dont understand why everyone full force swings like a retard against yeseaveage.
the yankees did the same thing twice.
the dodgers have now done the same thing twice.
62% of his pitches are BALLS (in his 4 postseason appearances).
that means if you just stood there, and did nothing, 1 out of every 2.4 batters would work a walk.
why can hitting coaches being paid 10,000,000 a year not figure that out?

he threw alot of pitches right over the middle of the plate, but most of them were just fouled or hit poorly because hes unique and hitters arent seeing him well yet
