Something quick I want to say about the spurs is that its genuinely crazy that Steph Castle is unironically the best playmaker on that team when DeAaron Fox is on that team. Finally, to talk about OKC. Like I said I only watched the 3rd and 4th quarter and...man SGA's playmaking has improved so fucking much. I wont get ahead of myself yet and do the rant I was thinking of doing showing how flashy passing (Luka) does not fucking mean anything compared to simpler (not simple, aka not dribble handoffs or "oh wow let me pass to the guy right next to me on the wing and hope he makes his shot while I stand still and do nothing else" passes) but dime passes. He had one sick fast wrap around pass to Hartenstein that really made me confident in his improved playmaking, and his ability to drive and actually threaten with a point makes his drive and kick passes uniquely deadly since he doesnt just drive and pass at the edge of like 10 feet, hes going all the way to the rim, and not just making a simple Kobe to Shaq type "Let me drive right beside Shaq and basically hand it off to him" but he made a skip pass to the corner from that drive. Good shit. Didnt expect that no look bounce pass from Jaylen Williams either, so OKCs playmaking in general has improved.

And the reason this is important to highlight, is because it highlights how meh OKCs offense is. They were 30% from 3 on 39 attempts. Barely anybody But Shai and AJ Mitchell shot more than 10 shots, and besides the two bigs chet, hart, and shai (although earlier in the game shai was sub 50% for a long time, but he can afford to be with how much playmaking value he was bringing) the team was barely above 50fg%
But they blew the lakers out not because of a meh offense (not bad not good) but because they held the Lakers to 20 points and less in the first two quarters.

Which brings me to another topic...Devin Booker and Shai to me are like basically the same player. Two Midrange Maestros, barely take 3s, and when they do, theyre bad at them, both built (height etc) for shooting guard, both not uber athletic, both have to shoulder a majority offensive load, and both leveling up their playmaking

Dbook almost lost to the Mavs for a different reason. The game score was 115 to 112 at some point. If you look at the boxscore, youd think they almost lost because Booker shot sub 40% from the field, but actually basically the whole game, even when they were blowing out the Mavs, he was sub 50% because he was playmaking like crazy this game. I legit think he's levelled up in this part like crazy, hes far and beyond the best playmaking Shooting guard in the league right now, and if I factor in all the Shooting Guards of this century, hes only behind in playmaking to D.Wade, Manu, and Harden right now imo. But I could be getting ahead of myself.

If you watched the game, youll understand what happened in that fourth quarter. If you didnt. I can explain it with some numbers.
Suns vs Mavs
1st Quarter: Suns 30 Mavs 28
2nd Quarter Suns 33 Mavs 25
3rd Quarter Suns 32 Mavs 28
4th Quarter at the point where the score was 115-112: Suns 20 Mavs 31

As you can see the suns defense was generally always meh. Not great, not necessarily bad, but they were leading this game by 20 at some point. Those 3 extra points from 28 in the 3rd to 31 in the 4th was obviously not why they lost. As you can see, the Suns strength was never their defense, it was their offense, and in the 4th, they stopped scoring.

So now that Ive set the stage, I will explain what happened. Basically Booker had like 3 insanely good assists that all his teammates fumbled the bag on. I can and will legit link every single assist that his teammates fumbled to prove the point.

2 of them were 2 pointers, 1 of them a 3 pointer. So add that up and you get 7 points. Even if we subtract the points gotten by the end of the game in free throws, this easily would have been 27 points to end the 4th, and if we count Grayson Allens goal tended shot that was self created, then it would be 29 and even if they got outscored in the quarter, the lead would be secured.
