Threadly reminder to play X-wing/Legion/Armada/Shatterpoint/Unlimited/Star Wars Rpgs.
>>95868511I'm in two Shatterpoint leagues atm, one of them being TTS which may be a mistake. Also going to the GT soon. I side-eye Legion sometimes because Luke is pretty cool in that game. I am hopefully getting some Empire stuff for X-wing so my friend and I can play some games that isn't just the core set. I also play Unlimited, but have no interest in the new set despite being a KOTORfag I almost never do Dark Side runs in the first game and none of the new cards look super appealing, also seems like a weird miss that there is one Luke in the entire set that revolves around the force and its the farmboy goober, I was expecting TLJ Luke at least.
>>95868583If you wanna get into Legion Rebels, I suggest waiting a few months for the new starters to come out. They will come with all the necessary bits and accessories to play alongside a pretty ridiculous discount - they are supposed to be around 600 points for 90~ bucks
>>95868625Yeah I used to play Legion but I stopped, in between heavily losing every match and all the new stuff I had to print and them wanting you to get more models I really lost interest. If I get back into it I will get that starter since I only have 2 Rebel Corps, all my others are vets and commandos which are apparently shit now.
Someone was asking why the tone of The High Republic was off. And I realised the tone was supposed to be triumphant.
This was the high water mark for the post-Reform Republic. It should be invoking Kennedy rhetoric and not Reddit, like how the writers did.
>>95868785If you care about the competitive aspect of Legion, rebels are probably the 2nd best faction now, right after CIS
We know there will be a points update in November, but until then if you wanna win, here are the rebel units to look for:
>AT-RTs>Sleeper cells>The speeder truck>the Mandalorian
>temura morrison says he wants to play captain rex in live action
>dave isnt returning his calls
oh.
>>95868803>If you care about the competitive aspect of LegionI don't really but everyone where I play does.
What's the Imperial or Rebel equivalent of the Miranda-class?

why did the victory stay in service but the venator didn't?

>>95869163Why don't you go back to fellating youtubers artificially trying to revive your shitty Battlefront game so you can basedface over them playing that retarded WATCH OUT FOR THOSE WRIST ROCKETS line by DeeDee DooDoo Man or whatever the fuck his name is endlessly, you subnormal subhuman fetus.
>>95869442You need to eat less, Tem. I am afraid they won't be able to make a clone armor that fits, if they ever call you back. And, please, no more cringe monkey island dances with your tongue out, thanks.
>>95868844Dreadnoughts. They are one of the oldest capital ships still in service by the GCW, and are common enough everyone except the Seps used them.
>>95868489 (OP)>Fagga the Nutt>Jerk-Jerk Bangs>Obi Wanto Blome>Analkin Asswalker>Yodick>Queer Gon Jizz>Darth Fistious>Gaya Orgasma>Chewassa>Assamillion Queers>Nude Cumray>The Phantom Man-Ass
>>95869385Victory is pretty much ISD but smaller, so it fits right in with the Imperial naval doctrine. Ideally they would all get replaced by ISDs eventually, but before they have enough ISDs for that they'll just shove the remaining VSDs into backwater system fleets that are low on the priority list to receive new ISDs. Venator on the other hand is different enough to not work well with the new doctrine, so rather than being passed down to second-line units they were just scrapped for raw material and components to build more ISDs.
Out of universe, because the VSD was introduced in the EU as a smaller star destroyer that predated the ISD long before any of the prequel fims came out, so there were already canon depictions of the Empire using them, where as there were none of the Venator due to it not having been invented yet. VSD ended up in kind of a weird spot in the old EU where it canonically was developed in the prequel-era, around the same time as the Venator, yet aside from a handful of mentions in lore books never made an appearance until during the reign of the Empire. The ISD was also confirmed to have been introduced right at the end of the clone wars, so there would actually only been a brief period of time when VSD existed but the ISD didn't. I'm not sure if the VSD is even still canon, since it never appeared in the films or TCW.
>>95868805>temura morrison says he wants to play captain rex in live actionSo he would need the white beard to differentiate from Captain Rex from Boba Fett.
Also he would need to look a lot older unless he got genetic treatment to fix his accelerated aging.
>>95869800makeup and CGI, easy
>>95869581>Han Swallow>C3PNISO>R2DSINU
>>95869770My theory is the lot of the VSDs built have interchangeable parts with ISDs, and they're still useful as a missile launcher, along with the propaganda motif that they don't really look that different from an ISD's silhouette. All of that is enough to keep them in service when Gladiators and Venators get retired.
>>95869269>>95869272>>95869277Why are you guys like this? Please
behave and make peace I implore you.
>>95869470Stupid ignorant racist.
>>95869470Why are you complaining? You should be cheering on more representation for your people: fat cunts.
How feasible would be for someone to use a captured AT-ST as a walker-for-hire? Since those klatooinians tribals managed to keep one at a working state in that one the mandalorian episode it can't be that hard to keep up with maintenance but I'm unsure if there would be a demand for such heavy firepower outside of the rebellion
>>95871883What era would this be? If it's post Endor than there'd be so many factions making grabs that hiring mercenary armor units wouldn't be unusual.
>>95868511excited to get into legion later this year when the new starter boxes drop, going all in on CIS
is it worth caring about the other wargames now that they aren't getting any more support?
>>95872244Idk about Armada, but for X-wing your best bet would be finding someone selling their collection. The fans are updating the game, so it's not entirely dead.
What if one explores Dagobah beyond Yodaโs territory?
>>95868489 (OP)Slugs have stunningly beautiful penises in striking colors many times longer than their bodies. You really have to stop and think about what Jabba's packing.
>>95873534So that is why the slavegirls don't mind?
>>95869515It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize the origin of the word "Dreadnought".
>>95868805Why did they make him such a pussy in his own show? I underatand living among relatively peaceful sand people made him more honorable and mellowed out but even in the beggining when he was captured he was all friendly to that Rodian. This isn't the Boba who fights dinosaurs, rips off people's arms and shoots guys he tortured in the back.
Tbf i think he was perfectly fine in that the Mandalorian, still brutal but older and wise feeling
>>95869385Ventators are carriers first, battlecruisers second. As a result, they can't take hits quite as well as other star destroyers, and being able to carry a shitload of TIEs is a lot less useful than being able to carry a similar amount or Ys and other shielded, hyperspace capable strike craft. Victorys are good missile and bombardment platforms while still being able to take a hit and dish it out, so they get a pass.
>>95869770Vics appear in various canon games and comics (art book for Fallen Order, Tarkin novel, Vader comics, Armada, FFG RPG, etc) so it's about as canon as it gets without popping up in a TV show or movie somewhere down the line.
>>95871883Do we know how long they had it, though? Some things are easy to maintain, some things just don't NEED to be maintained until it suddenly does and you're fucked.
>>95874517I'm still pissed about that as well. With Mandalorian becoming less about bounty hunting, I thought BoBF was going to take up the slack with the OG bounty hunter...and then they just fucking straight up SLAUGHTERED his character.
>>95874514There is nothing to be embarassed about.
Dreadnought is type of battleship, that is constructed with "all big guns" design philosophy, meaning you have main battery that is of single calibre, making it easier to aim, because you have to calculate balistics only for single type of cannon instead for multiple ones(yes older battleships had multiple diferent guns in main battery). And said class of battleships took it's name from first battlesip designed with unified main battery HMS Dreadnought. This is pre WW1 history.
Of course most sci fi misunderstood what Dreadnought is(slow WW1 steam powered battleship with single caliber main battery and heavy armour) and just name heavy variant of battleship as dreadnought, despite dreadnought being outdated during WW2 and replaced by those who could afford it by more modern fast battleships, that had main battery and armour of dreadnought but unlike dreadnoughts FB also had engine power to reach speed allowing it to keep up with crusiers. Then after WW2 battleships were phased out and no development happened, there was this one time when USA put bunch of guided missiles on WW2 battleship but that's all.
But word is just name of ship that was first of it's class.
>>95874751No, I mean the etymology, in real life: "Dread nought." As if, you fear nothing because you're the biggest bastard around.
>>95874751No, I mean the etymology in real life. "Dread nought." As in, you fear nothing because you're the biggest bastard around.
>>95874902Hmmm, never thought about it this way, despite reading is as Dread NOT!. It fits with British naming conventions especially considering it was their biggest and baddest warship of time.
So is it an Imperial humvee?
>>95875443That's a WW2 Humvee, isn't it?
>>95875472Nope, that's WW2 M113/BTR-80/Stryker.
Are the hutts the most long lasting and stable galactic civilization? From what I understand they've been in control of hutt space long before the Republic was founded.
i've come to a revelation
the acolyte and ahsoka are the same show
>>95875910I unironically enjoyed Acolyte more
>>95875921May I ask why? Both shows are terrible but at least Ahsoka have cool shoots of Vader while in acolyte everything is either retarded or cringe.
>>95875970NTA, but Ahsoka's sin is that it was just atrociously boring and the action was bad. But it looked good, the music was good, there were some neat original designs and concepts. It's clear that S1 was just a setup, and it suffered for it.
Acolyte, on the other hand, was ugly as shit, with completely forgettable stock music, with awful, awful acting and dialogue, and the entire story was just a capital offense against everything Star Wars stands for. It's unironically evil as fuck. It's Karen Traviss, but in TV-format.
>>95875988nta but acolyte looked better than ahsoka because it used practical sets and filmed on location instead of filming a lot of it with the volume or greenscreen
>>95875999>but acolyte looked betterNo, it didn't.
>>95876014>practical set background>at night, can still see shit
>>95876039Yeah, you can see how shit it is, alright.
>>95876048compare it to ahsoka in those TCW flashbacks with fog everywhere
>>95875970It had cool fight scenes and I liked Sol, that's about it. I didn't like anything about Ahsoka except Ray Stevenson. I guess they are about even with things I like but ahsoka pissed me off more because this stupid bullshit is actively hijacking an era I like and I'm sick to death of Spectres showing up everywhere, they don't look good in live action either.
>>95876071Yeah, still looked better. It had color and some cinematic sensibility. It was shot better and framed better. The concept of shot composition was entirely alien to Acolyte. It looked like fan-film. And despite being shot on """location""", it looked like they had one set, and walked in circles on it, like they wasted entire episode walking in the woods, and it looked like shit. You literally couldn't see shit! Pretty sure they got some YouTuber to direct a bunch of episodes for them. Fog also made sense, since it was a dream sequence.
>>95875999Practical effects are retarded and OT looks like shit compared to PT. I really wish Gen Xers would suicide.
>>95876098all of these look like shit and are lacking in color
>>95875532They had one massive civil war that blew up their homeworld and almost collapsed their civilization, but for millennia before and after that they've been remarkably stable. Probably helps that Hutts are extremely long-lived and tend to take the long-term view of things, and after said civil war they largely stopped trying to expand their territory by force, instead focusing on maintaining what they got and using indirect means to keep neighboring regions in their sphere of influence.
>>95876131You're lacking in intelligence and eyesight, cretin. But that's nothing new, ventressfag. It's funny seeing you trying to defend ackolyte and palpatine's return unironically, kek.
>Like Star Wars (autism)
>Dislike Kyber Crystal established lore because lightsaber color is a huge possibility space for character designs
So my headcanon? Kyber crystals inherently are colorless and when the force user charges them up/meditates with them they give them their color. So color of lightsaber doesn't determine rank or position in Jedi order or whatnot but coincides with certain traits. So you could have theoretically have a red lightsaber and not be a Sith but more then likely you're an asshole (since red means you're aggressive or passionate).
How bad of a retarded headcanon bit in your eyes?
>>95876162wrong twice in the comment but you do you
>>95876130cope and seethe you little shit
Just spoiling it for you guys, but this is our next OP image. Two favorite things, pride month, and the Pellaeon-class, together. :3
>>95876164>Kyber crystals inherently are colorless and when the force user charges them up/meditates with them they give them their color. So color of lightsaber doesn't determine rank or position in Jedi order or whatnot but coincides with certain traits. This is literally canon.
>>95876190one thing that interests me is that its noted that yellow isnt typically associated with the jedi anymore and is more of a "neutral" colour
yeah the temple guard have it, but basically no jedi in the field do
I think if we go by the color wheel then;
>Green, Blue, and Cyan are all the "Jedi" colors
>Red, Orange, and Pink are the "Sith" colors
>Yellow and Purple are therefore "Neutral" colors, with White/Black being special
I think this is a good way to put it out to the wider universe, but I just think the concept of "Gray Jedi" is fucking retarded by the by.
>>95876222Good guys are green and blue, bad guys are red. Purple is one of a kind, because Sam Jackson asked for it. Yellow is ceremonial standard issue temple guard saber, probably some kind of synthetic crystal. Black is one of a kind ancient, unstable lightsaber. That's it.
>>95876238but we've seen yellow outside of the temple guard, some jedi have them in the high republic era, as well as ventress (although she got hers on the black market so who knows what its origin is)
I could have sworn there was a vidya general too, oh well. Does this sound like a neat idea for a campaign? Cal and Merrin set up Tanalorr as a hideout. Players work for them and the hidden path. Gather force sensitives to smuggle and artifacts & lore to archive. Fight the empire yardage yadda.
>>95876222Is Ahsoka a more of a gray jedi or an unaligned light side force user after quitting?
>>95876238Orange exists too. There's a whole novel about Obi-Wan fighting space rednecks with fool's kyber lightsabers. Also, no where is the darksaber described as unstable?
>>95876267a jedi in denial
she says shes not a jedi but constantly talks and acts like one, and the mandoverse shows just call her one anyway
>>95876267Correct definition of Gray Jedi is a Jedi that acts outside of the Jedi Order, who hasn't necessarily fallen to the Dark Side. In that respect, Ahsoka can be considered one. If we use the correct definition. Or, if you don't like the term, then yesโunaligned light side force user. Popular fan misconception is that Gray Jedi is someone who can use Dark Side and Light Side equally without getting corrupted. That's fanfiction mary sue bullshit.
>>95876275>Orange exists too.Not in the films or Clone Wars.
>Also, no where is the darksaber described as unstable? This was the internal lore when George came up with the Darksaber.
>>95876285we've seen a force user act for both light and dark though
I don't like "grey jedi" but "grey" is fine
>>95876293Fuck off with your retarded fanfiction, Ventressfag. Kill yourself, and stop seeking attention.
>>95876303>happens on screen>its le fanfictionlol!
>>95876291>internal loreSo not in the films or clone wars?
>>95876317George's word is canon. It's conveyed visually, not verbally said, because it's not something that the story demanded to be said. You can see it being unstable, with sparks of energy at the edge.
>>95876312Disney slop is fanfiction, yes. Ventress is dead, and she died fully rejecting the Dark Side and embracing the light. Kill yourself, and stop seeking attention, ventressfag. You're pathetic. It's embarrassing how you try to force every single discussion on every single board to be about your dogshit mary sue waifu.
>>95876331>stop seeking attention>he says, as he acts hostile towards everyone to cause arguments because he needs the (you)'spardon me for actually engaging in discussions in a civil manner, unlike you
>>95876331George's original plan of exploring the micro verse of the midi-chlorians is more canon than the actual movies? What about pre Disney contradictions in lore? Two people writing novels with shit that can't both be true?
I'm so glad that my internal compass (not beholden to copyright or George Faguas's dumb bullshit) is the one and only true arbiter of Star Wars canon.
>>95876349>George's original plan of exploring the micro verse of the midi-chlorians is more canon than the actual movies?George's word is as canon as the movies. It's not *more* canon. It's more canon than the Disney sequel movies, obviously.
>What about pre Disney contradictions in lore? Two people writing novels with shit that can't both be true? What about it? All "lore" (i.e. books, comics, games, source books) is the parallel world of licensing, written by some other people who just played in the sandbox, third party interpretation, separate from George's world and vision. So who cares.
>>95876331Is The Glove Of Darth Vader canon?
>>95874965She was English, not British. inb4 England is in Britain. No one called her British. Well into the 20th century people talked of England more than Britain.
The name is older than you think. Dreadnought fought the Armada. She wasn't the biggest or the baddest of her time. She was outgunned to the order of 190 lb (160 lb vs 350 lb) by White Bear, and she was only about two thirds the size of White Bear, 450 tons bm vs 730 tons bm (or a little over one third at 400 tons vs 1000 tons, means of measurement vary). While the defeat of the Armada predates the rating system, she would have been a Third Rate galleon while White Bear would have been first First Rate. She was actually one of the smaller English main combatants in 1588.
She did have the advantage of being a few years younger than White Bear and of being designed by Matthew Baker who was one of the leading shipwrights of his time, possibly the greatest. He was born into the role, his father being one of the first four Master Shipwrights awarded patent by the Crown, in this case Henry VIII. Dreadnought may have been his second design.
>>95876367So your favorite piece of Legends lore is just as much fanfic as disney?
>>95876340No one cares about discussing your dogshit waifu, which you always try to do. She'd dead.
>>95876375and no one cares about your dogshit opinions yet you keep on arguing about them here because you cant accept that people dont agree with you
you're an attention seeker, we all know you are
>>95876369Canon to the EU-universe.
>>95876372Yes. There is nothing wrong with admitting that. Both are licensed fanfiction. That does not necessarily diminish my enjoyment of some of it. But there is an important distinction to be made, one that has to be mentally acknowledged.
>>95876382Go create another reddit account, subhuman dog. You are low IQ, retarded, inbred cretin with terrible taste, and you don't understand the first thing about Star Wars. Kill yourself.
>>95876391>stop attention seeking>proceeds to make the 3rd post in a row seeking attentioni'm only responding because i'm bored, nobody actually gives a shit about you
let me guess, banned off of /v/ again?
>>95876383You call the EUniverse a "canon" but call the Disney-verse a "fanfic". Is there a difference besides how much you like them? Also, what makes TCW proper canon when it's extended universe material like any of the books or games?
>>95869163The 501st journal is the best piece of Star Wars fiction, probably ever.
Makes sense Dave wouldn't take his calls back though because he's a hack fraud and came up with that stupid microchip bullshit
Anyway the reason I brought up the saber color thing was because of my idea for a Star Wars campaign set in the future.
>After OT and Sequels (but glossed over a bit)
>New Republic barely functioning and galaxy split into a bunch of different factions
>Jedi Order all but destroyed as Luke/Rey disappear
>Instead new Jedi start popping up all over the galaxy as the force heals itself
>These new Jedi act like mentors and are spiritual/religious figures in their communities
>Much more individualist then before with no Jedi high council to teach them dogma; but have a chance of falling to the dark side
>Players are Jedi trying to found a new Jedi order and traveling to planets to ensure that a new Sith order doesn't spring up among the Force-Users of the galaxy
>There is also a political drama in the background of new warlords (including an anti-human faction after the Empire's many atrocities) and players will have to navigate this while also worrying about the potential of an evil Sith group trying to corrupt the "new Jedi order" from within
Sound like a solid campaign premise? My lore knowledge is very limited to just the movies and some shows so I'm winging some stuff and trying to use the wiki to supplement.

>>95876428>You call the EUniverse a "canon" but call the Disney-verse a "fanfic".There are multiple canons.
1) George Lucas canon: comprised of episodes I-VI, The Clone Wars theatrical movie and series, Underworld live-action show scripts, and George's ST treatments. This is the main canon. The canon of creator of Star Wars. The most important canon. Authorial.
2)EU-universe canon. It is canon to itself, but not canon to George Lucas. It is, essentially, licensed fanfiction.
3)Disney canon. Nuff said. Licensed fanfiction, same as EU. Canon to itself. Not canon to anything else.
>Is there a difference besides how much you like them? No. They are both licensed fanfiction. Anything not created and produced by George Lucasโthe creator of Star Warsโis fanfiction. By definition.
> Also, what makes TCW proper canon when it's extended universe material like any of the books or games? It was never extended universe. It is proper canon, because it is created and produced by George Lucas, it is a part of his world of cinematic Star Wars. Both of those statements were made clear by Lucas numerous times.
>>95876444Not a single true statement in this entire post. Impressive.
>>95876449501st journal was made five minutes to midnight and did more to explain why the Republic fell than the actual prequel movies.
Dave Filoni hasn't made a good thing. At all. Name anything good he's made. You can't.
The inhibitor chip shit is asspull unjustified bullshit that made no sense and completely removed nuance and shot the whole point of the Republic being a decadent society falling to the Gauls. The mark of a fucking idiot.
>>95876445Yeah that sounds cool. Sounds like any sith revivalists that spring up could be a nice set of mirror characters to the party.
>>95876238did mara jade with her purple saber predate mace with a purple saber?

>>95876530this guy definitely predates mace
>>95875510M113/MT-LB is probably the best analogy. In addition to carrying troops, it did a lot of prime-mover stuff too, and was also a favorite base for various other niche roles, just like the M113 and MT-LB would become for their nations in the following decades.
>>95876130You dumb ignorant little cretin. You need a good spanking. A hard beating to the head, you little punk.
>>95876222>>95876238In nu-canon, lightsaber blades become red when they are "bled" by a Dark Sider pouring all their bad vibes into it, while the white blade comes from the crystal being purified by a Jedi.
>>95876777I also like this interpretation, but I still think you can get some color variation, like red, orange, or pink. I really want a pink saber user.
What do you think will happen in Jedi 3? Will they kill off Cal, or have him start a new order with blackjack and hookers?
>>95877025I like most 2000s+ Star Wars games, but I do not care for Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor.
I would rather play Revenge of the Sith or Force Unleashed If I wanted to wack someone with a lightsaber.
>>95876164Moronic. Stupendously stupid. More retarded than a bus full of special needs kids on a trip to an exhibit about the history of Down's Syndrome.
Sorry, but I fucking *hate* moodring-sabers.
>>95877025Theyโll have to kill him off just to meet the status quo of no Jedi other than Luke to Rey.
The question is if he has a kid so we have the โtechnical Not-Jedi/Witchโ order with them and the girl they adopted.
>>95877025I hope he lives and becomes a Jedi Indiana Jones, but I'm gonna be honest with myself and set my expectations into the "he's going to die for the Hidden Path/stopping some Force or Jedi knowledge from getting into imperial hands" category.
>>95877025hopefully die, sick of so many Jedi being around during ROTJ
wish shaak ti would sit on my face, also whats the best star wars tabletop to get into? I love star wars empire at war if that helps
>>95877423A lot of people like the old West End Games version, though given how long it's been out of print it might be somewhat difficult to get the books. The FFG one is pretty good as well, and while also out of print is much more recent (my LGS still has most of the books available). It uses proprietary dice, though, which can be annoying (you can use regular dice but have to remember which numbers would correspond to the symbols on the original dice).
Really, the only one people seem to nearly universally recommend against is the d20 version, because that's just a hack of DnD with Star Wars coat of paint on top.
>>95877471Difficult to get the books. The pdf's on the other hand are so easy they practically throw themselves at you. d6 holocron has it all.
>>95876254Good 4 you. Now begone with you.

>>95876359Whoโs George Faguas? George Furiosa?!
Soโฆโฆhelp me understand the Hutts. Are they literally a race of crime lords? There are not regular job-holding Hutts? Is it a space-faring civilization that got off their planet on their own and turned their space into a mob business later?
Also, how strong is Mace Windu? Could he have literally overpowered Sheev if they were actually alone? Or was it his combat specialty that made him especially strong against Sheev but heโd get wrecked by Vader?
>>95877691In the original EU at least, the Hutts started out as an expansionist and highly militaristic civilization that conquered a large swathe of space, at one point being probably the most powerful civilization in the galaxy before the Republic would overtake them. However, eventually a massive civil war broke out after the various Hutt clans, which rendered their original homeworld uninhabitable and nearly wiped out their species. The survivors rebuilt their society to function around what they called the Khajidic system, which placed strict limitations on inter-clan fighting and focused on economic gains instead of conquest of new territories. That also marks the point where the Hutts became known to the rest of the galaxy as crime-lords, since they had no issue with breaking Republic laws if it benefitted them and frequently dealt with criminal organizations to destabilize the government of Republic worlds near the territory in order to pull those worlds into their sphere of influence.
The Hutts themselves wouldn't view themselves as criminals, of course. They're perfectly law-abiding business-slugs according to their own laws, and selling goods that are illegal under the Republic/Imperial law is just a good business strategy since there's less competition and higher margins of profit. It's not their laws they're breaking, so why should they care? Obviously, not every Hutt is going to be selling drugs and slaves: some run businesses that would be perfectly legitimate in the Republic as well. However, most Hutts are part of the Hutt clans that rule Hutt Space, which are considered criminal organizations by outsiders.
There are also Hutts that live outside Hutt Space and don't have anything to do with the clans, though, some of which are law-abiding citizens of the planet they're living on. One Hutt even got himself elected as the chancellor of the Republic, and against all odds was actually a morally upstanding fellow.
>>95877124Not him, but it's not about mood, but personality. Lightsabers already tell you something about the wielder just by dint of "bad guys have this color, good guys have these colors", so it makes sense for something as personal as a lightsaber crystal reflect it's user somehow.

>>95868853A Boba Fett show would work if it was about pre-ANH Fett with a younger actor in the armor, Morrison as VA and some new characters as Star Wars equivalent of Tuco/Mortimer/Silvanito
>>95877025I'm not sure because on the one hand they connected pretty heavily to the Hidden Path in Survivor implying that could be a focus of the next game but then I could see them actually doing a noticeable time jump to around 0 BBY or just after when Kata is a teenager and Cal is training her or something echoing those parent-child sidekick dynamics in God of War and Last of Us which have become popular, which they already stealth introduced in Survivor with the party member mechanic where they occasionally help you on missions. Also because the bottom falls out of the Inquisitorius just before ANH there wouldn't be much of a conflict there for the Path to deal with I think with the Empire focusing more on fighting the Rebel Alliance. I don't think they'd set it so far in the future that it overlaps with Filoni and Favreau's post-ROTJ stuff because they don't seem to like other people playing in that space when they're still telling stories in it.
So yeah it makes sense for it be set somewhere in the timeframe of Rebels and Andor which is a pretty crowded space. I don't know if it'd connect to other things much with cameos but they do have a lot of leftover characters with ties to the Path like Quinlan, Ventress, Barriss, Fourth Sister and possibly Reva. Seeing an older Quinlan Vos in a video game would be cool, him and Cal can bond over their psychometry and love of Dathomiri women.
Bros, maybe someone here can help me with pointing to Star Wars Imperial Assault side missions scans/photos, most of ally/villain pack are unobtainable now and I failed to found any, wiki have only photos of cards and all that but not the missions
>>95879275The other option is thahht Cal gives in to some of his Dark Side urges at one point in teh story, you tehn end up playing as Merrin (which I think is a feature tehey will put in anyway) and Cal ends up disconnecting from the Force at the end.
The final sccene is Cal holding hands with Merrin.
Merrin teleports his midichlorians into her witch cave, if you know what I mean.
Cata might be the first Witch//Jedi in some sort of new Dathhomiran cult, again possible for a post-sequel appearance..
That leaves them able to bring everyone into live action, and quuite frankly I doubt they'll do another 'everyone dies', that was R1's shtick.
OK, maybe they learn the wrong lessons from Andor/R1 and fuck everything up again, lol.
>>95877780I am trying to imagine fatties on battlefield. They are slow, big targets that have 2 standard hands so not much more guns than others and most well known Hutt was choked with chain by slave girl, and he couldn't do anything about it.
>>95878919Boba Fett show would work if he as crime lord and sucessor of Jabba the Hutt did some fucking crime. We are talking about show focused on guy who when we first saw him in ESB had such reputation that Vader had to specify "no disintegration", this guy took over Jabba the hutt's empire, slug known for throwing slave girl to rancor when she didn't want to get licked by slug.
Somehow this guy commit no crime despite owning crime syndicate.

>>95880119well ancient hutts wore these massive sets of armor and if they worked they became massive slabs of muscle. but in the modern day any hutt that wears armor and is fit is looked down upon as it means they actually have to work instead of having lackeys do their killing for htem

>>95880691Because the Republic is GOOD and you must fight for it to protect GOODNESS and to show you are GOOD ok? Just like how IRL nations suckered the plebs into marching to war for the nation instead of loot like their ancestors
>>95880878To be fair, before people went to war for king and country, they did it for God and king. There was plenty of looting involved over the course of the war, but it was always dressed-up nicely as striking out against godless heathens or reprobate heretics.
>>95880867Nope, the Force constitutes the karmic balance / destiny of the universe, flows through and connects all things through all time and space. Itโs very unintuitive to grasp by mortals so people have to dedicate their lives to its mastery. Sidious did nothing without searching the Force for example. In the book version of Yoda vs Sidious, their fight was really a contest of destinies and Yoda realizes that he had lost even before he was born.
>>95881054The force flows through most things very weakly. There's a reason why most people can dedicate their entire lives to meditating and training on the force and still be unable to accomplish anything using force peoples. The force, for most people, barely exists at all.
>>95881054That's not how the Force works, irrelevant nameless Kreiafag. I know who you are.
>>95881237It was even expressed visually in the fight. Notice how neither Sidious or Yoda even scratch the surface of anything in their fight, inspite of being stuck in a very confined space even? Thatโs because the fight was way beyond sword-fighting techniques. Thatโs why Yoda quietly escaped and Sidious was laughing like a madman even while dangling in midair โ both of them fully understood who the winner and who the loser was, this was revealed to them in the Force.

Figuring out how to paint my post KOTOR Revan proxy for shatterpoint. His look has been so inconsistent.
>Qel-Droma's vision has him defeating Malak with a Blue lightsaber and wearing his brown qel-droma robes with mask, but may be symbolic and was all blue-tinted anyway
>Novel has Revan wearing brown robes with a green saber, but his classic black robes with green saber on cover
>SWTOR has the classic black robes but the green saber has switched to purple, yet it was green in beta but presumably people complained BUT
>Black series, official merch, galaxy of heroes etc show redeemed Revan with white presumably starforge robes with a single purple saber.
The model I got has 2 sabers (unfortunately they ALL do because that's the look for some reason, even though it was a hallucination by the exile and all his canonical appearances are single saber) so maybe one green one purple, but the hilt of the purple and the green is the same so that's a tricky one too. I might go Blue/Green to make his class ambiguous (an in-joke I'm sure only I will get) but my biggest question is the robes. White, Black or Brown? Brown while lore accurate might look the least impressive and recognizable.
>>95877793But they already did that before *without* being moodrings, because there was a natural synergy between what crystals the force would "steer" a user towards finding and how they behaved, which correlates well with what role they might end up in. It was just less prescriptive and homosexual, because in a pinch they would use whatever crystal was to hand, or people would end up in different "careers" than their crystal choice might imply and that happened often enough that while you could make an assumption based on it you wouldn't necessarily be *right*. The Sith using synthetic crystals(or just sticking with whatever they had previously, or stealing sabers from dead Jedi) was a perfect contrast that showed how their philosophy treated the force differently; as a tool versus a source of guidance.
Now it is just fucking moodring faggotry, every little Jedi snowflake gets to special and all the Sith are childish tantrum-throwing edgelords. The good guys all have to be a Heckin Rainbow Xisterhood and the bad guys all have to be lame and whiny. It's shit.
I've had an idea for a Star Wars game, and I'd like some advice/to check I'm not being retarded.
System: D6 (with some house rules, like Body Points and Static Defences)
Time Period: Last decades of the republic. Probably about 10 years before Phantom Menace.
Where: Homebrewed planet in the Rim somewhere. Varied biosphere, not a "oops all desert" planet.
What's happening: The planet has rich natural resources of various kinds, and is being absolutely pillaged by enterprising locals and people coming from afar. The kind of place where drifters come looking for work, and mining/logging/ranching companies put out contracts for dozens of workers in cryosleeper service ships to come out and build shit. Unfortunately, the local government has run afoul of the Trade Federation, and approx 1 second after the game starts the Federation institute a blockade and begin an invasion (like what happened to Naboo but better run, probably this incident made Palpatine think the Nemoidians could maybe pull Naboo off).
Who are the PCs: drifters, contracted workers, aggravated locals. No Jedi, no formal Force Adepts. Hard bitten military guys are OK.
What do the PCs do: hopefully join/start a rebellion. I'm thinking it'll be a planet-bound hexcrawl affair, with the PCs going from place to place shooting battle droids and tearing shit up and being Robin Hoods and such.
>>95881746>>95881764>>95881810>dumbest takes on Star Wars ever>ends up in jail
Sith/Dark Side Users are at their peak when they operate openly, their role is to challenge the galaxy and cultivate it's strength through hardship and war. That's why the Republic became the weak and effeminate when the Sith started acting like sneaky politicians.
>>95882171White Star Forge robes and purple lightsaber from the black series figures is hi best look imo.
Then kitbash the left hand.
Either remove the lightsaber, or replace his left hand with Anakin's (if you have him) so it looks like he is doing some force magic with it.
Though removing and kitbashing parts of 3D-printed minis can be hell on earth.
>>95882638Uuhhh, what gaym?
>>95876445That sounds cool, your idea reminded me of my current idea for my next campaign
>After the sequels>No galactic government exists anymore after the First Order destroyed the New Republic and then were destroyed by a massive civilian militia>Jedi have no guidance or leadership>Neither do Sith>It's a total force user free for all during a Galactic Warring States period>Nearly every planet is it's own entity, multi-system states are rare and barely holding it together>The players are all scarred force users who happen in to each other during their search for the man who hurt them- The One Armed Sith
>>95880691The Republic is led by a non-force user normie government, they could easily straighten things out if they stopped being lazy and letting the psychic space knight cult fix everything for them.
>>95868489 (OP)Would a lightsaber with a rapier hilt work?
I know mixing X-Wing and SWRPG is a considered very retarded but I was wondering if this would work:
>entire party is partially pilot partially special forces group for the New Republic
>give the players 150XP to spend on their pilot talents and career skills
>take their pilot specialization and normal career to make them a custom pilot card
>give them one ability each depending on what talents they took
>when a planned space battle sequence occurs, we switch to X-Wing
>anytime the players are just making an escape or using the shuttle to move around itโs still just AoR
So not really โmixingโ the two because those two rulesets donโt really blend, but more so just making custom pilots for GM-planned battles?
>>95883547Like a beskar, phrik, or cortosis hilt or one made of saber emission?
The first seems plausible and even neat, with advantages and disadvantages; the second would be gay Af.
Does the Allegiance make sense, or is it retarded like the Bellator and Assertor?
>>95883620I've seen someone on here do that before, it'll be very GM heavy since you'll have to constantly be making conversions but it's doable. But also with the FFG system fighter v fighter combat works just fine
>>95883620The biggest issue would be one of attrition. X-wing doesnโt seem to lack for losses even among your elites. Sure, maybe your dudes eject or whatever, but party as fighter pilots is bad for the same reason why you donโt see many IRL mercenary airforces even in the heyday of mercenary fighting in 1970s Africa. The ones that existed were stateless actors who stole their planes after a revolution changed the government and they do not last long at all in peer conflicts.
Sure, maybe they โare recovered in their life podsโ, but unless they do a lot of wog bashing, the expected character attrition between the two games is very different and this will be hard to synchronize as a GM.
>>95883659This was definitely my main concern with it. But I remember testing out fighter combat in SWRPG (granted this was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away) and finding that I was getting DEMOLISHED in space combat. Iโll give it another whirl now that Iโm much more comfortable as a TTRPG player/GM

>>95883828Saw this post in /40kg/ and learned of the Remnant Troopers concept art.
What were the reasons that these concepts never made it into the Mandalorian Show as costumes?
>>95884067Because they needed to call everyone and then put public announcment that they need extras with their own stormtrooper armor.
Simply put there was no money left for costume department for yet another pointless stormtrooper variant, when they didn't have enough normal stormtroopers.
>>95884108>Simply put there was no money leftThey had Disney dollars was there some kind of embezzlement that The Mandalorian show faced?
Did the top brass at Disney just send the show out to die?
>>95884142Producer just get money and deadline, they have to deliver product on time, while certain things can be renegotiated usually execs are not too willing to move deadline or even more so provide additional funds.
Besides producers can spend money well or not so well. As you can see on example of Andor s1 (270milion for 12 episodes) and Acolyte (230milion for 8 episodes), Andor looked very good and acolyte cheap despite more $ per episode, this is looks alone, before we even compare quality of acting, writting and everything else.
After spending money on special effects, actors, sets, music they just didn't have budget to get enough stormtrooper armor for extras in time so they had to improvise and get multiple fans with their own armor as extras.
>>95884313Fair enough. I wasn't thinking about the nitty gritty details that you pointed out.

None of the separatist cards seem to be good meta wise in Unlimited and that fucking sucks since I love battle droids.

>>95885416They also got cheaper by 18 points.
Another interesting idea are shore super squads with dug in. That's 10 wounds behind surging red cover AND normal saves if you play it right.
>>95886482It's fun but shows its age in the UI and visuals. Also the XP gain is a bit ridiculous so you'll be way over-leveled. Everything syncs so it's not the end of the world but it still trivializes some content.

>>95886367They set up the Sith wrong, as a joke.
Generally speaking, was a Stormtrooper vs Rebel Army battle a one-sided slaughter for the Stormtroopers? The Rebels focused on guerrilla tactics but where they had to stand and fight they seemed to get completed shrekt. Unless you had the heroโs shield you couldnโt win against Stormtroopers. Why were they so elite? Was it just all strict physical standards and lots of training, like being a Navy SEAL?
>>95883174>The Republic is led by a non-force user normie governmentYet it is still ran by religious extremists who obsess over the Force. Fucking every single one of them is constantly spewing their garbage about 'May the Force be with you'. It's basically their version of 'allahu akbar'
>>95887734I would believe it was bunch of reason, superior training and equipment was one thing but also Empire had heavy equipment, they could deploy AT-ST or AT-AT and fact they almost always had air support in form of ISD with bunch of TIE.
Like in Vietnam or Afghan wars it really didn't matter if irregulars were better trained or motivated when other side could just call in airstrike or tanks and win any engagment. This is why this wars consist of 10-20 years of guerrillas shooting checkpoint or firing mortar at military base and running away hidding in jungle or caves, because when they tried open engagment it ended with bigger power clear and efortless victory. All 3 wars ended when invading goverment had enough of said war because of reasons external to fighting itself and just left.
This is wy rebels are losing any land battle they are in, because if they do more than small scale raid with quick evacuation they will be grinded down by stormtroopers with heavy equipment and air support from ISD. While rebels had their own air power it never could rival imperial who simply had more.
Rebels had to pick their battles well, while Imps could just deploy and mog them hard like on Hoth, heavly defended rebel base, that was rebel victory because they managed to escape with their lives.

And yes, I prefer the version of the IP that has *dozens* of possible focusing crystals for lightsabers each with their own interesting properties - including often colour - and often tied to certain specific locations, in which what colour sabers the Jedi use and how that interacts with how the order perceives itself and is perceived by others is closely related to the historical and geographical context of the order at any given time. As opposed to your preferred version, which amounts to
>I made a crystal fwiend and we had a sleepover and pillow fought and now we're BESTIES 4EVA and Less'andra(my crystal friend identifies as a sassy black lady of course) turned BLUE because my horoscope says I'm totes a strong protector lolAlso "everything is kyber and all sabers require a deep personal bond with a literally-alive crystal rather than just being made with things that resonate with the force" doesn't even remotely square with how sabers are used in the movies. >>95889959I won't help with such a soulless character concept
>>95889996The sequels operate on the same "Just don't think about it" philosophy from Star Trek, JJ must've picked it up while working on those movies
>>95889807I'm pretty sure that some of the later mon cal battle cruisers could pretty well go toe-to-toe with a duece, but part of that is factoring in their respective starfighter complements.
>>95889807Of course they could fight evenly, you watch a fleet of mon cala cruisers with support craft fight a fleet of star destroyers in return
>>95889996>end up as such a shit-show in leadership?Cosinga jr. trained them wrong as a joke
>>95890133Right, but the initial post was talking about mon cal ships that a Star Destroyer would need to outnumber to win, not an even match, and I don't think it was factoring in starfighters.
>>95890147In all the games like Empire at War and Armada the Liberty class is usually portrayed around the same level as an ISD
>>95890165Right, an even match. Not a case where the star destroyer HAS to outnumber to win.
>>95890165Dunno about Armada, but in EaW ISD easly win with mon cala due to having bomber wings.
Empire free TIE fighters and bombers were best thing about Empire, because fighter losses were horrendous if there was single corvette or missle ship on map.
Also, what, exactly, was Snokeโs purpose for being put in charge of the First Order? Sheev thought it absolutely had to be a strong force-user who wasnโt him?
>>95890481There was no purpose because it wasn't thought out or planned. You're spending more time thinking about it than the actual writers did.
>>95886482It's a single player game disguised as an MMO unless you care about raid or pvp slop. Story Flashpoints (Dungeons) can be done solo now.
Although they ruined looting with the updates, making it so you just upgrade the gear you want (which is cool, but it makes progression less satisfying), companions also auto upgrade their gear.
That and the rapid leveling changes made the game piss easy, to an absurd degree.
>>95890481Nothing in sequell trilogy make sense, because it wasn't planned as trilogy despite disney knowing they will do trilogy day one.
If for some reason you feel that plot in sequells is disjointed, had no plan behind it and is done slopply that's because it is.
Somehow disney while doing new trilogy was less organised than Lucas when he made sequells to what he believed would be flop but despite all ods was massive success, even despite rectons and meme explanations like "from certain point of view" it feels better planned out because writters cared about consistency and having central themes. Meanwhile sequells are all over the place.
Snoke was supposed to be Palpatine 2.0 but then was killed and then OG Palpatine somehow returned because they ran out of ideas how to bring people to theatres and bet on memberberry.
>>95890568They also fucked with the animations. They used to be good, but then PvPers whined and they got tweaked to optimize dps instead of look cool.

>>95890300Yeah we're talking pure ship to ship not counting escorts
>>95891200From Cato Nemoidia
>>95891350>Yeah we're talking pure ship to ship not counting escortsISD have hangar hardpoint that spawn fighters and bombers. It's integral ship mechanics and you really can't compare ISD without escort because it always spawn escort when it come out of hyperspace.
>>95891319Fuck you, Nazi boy.
Is George Lucas a racist?
Does George Lucas believe in stereotypes?
>>95889557The Starhawk might be a decent foe for the Allegiance to tackle, same with the Resurgent. Basically I can see the post-Endor Empire facing threats like the NR Starhawk and the FO Resurgent and deciding to make their own, which is essentially just an up-scaled ISD. Given that Imperial doctrine is all about the ISD as a centerpiece, I can easily see their answer to bigger ships amounting to 'make a bigger, fatter ISD'.
>>95893650Starhawk is didneyshit and post-Endor anyways. The fucked up remnants of the Empire that didn't outlive the first battle where production Starhawks were fielded was never going to pull a bigger ISD out of its ass.
>>95888594Not really any restrictions from that, if itโs something you want to police youโd have to figure it out on your own
Could have it based off of weapon range?
>Close and Short : 1 HP>Medium: 2 HP>Long: 3 HP

>>95886482It scratches the Star Wars itch. Agent is the best story.
>>95894305I'm still waiting to do that one. Mya save it for last after I do the others since everyone says its good, but originally I put it off becuase i made my agent a Chiss right before they 'updated' the textures...
>>95889959>Agility>Brawn>Cunning>Willpower>Intellect>Presence
>>95893795Not everything Disney made is terrible. The Starhawk is kino. Same with the Raider and Arquitens replacing the EU dildo ships
>>95896059I headcanoned the Starhawk and Resurgence into an arms race.
Starhawk is comprised of repurposed ISD parts and is big and powerful enough can hunt down and destroy isolated Remnant ISDs. The Resurgence is bigger and has a turned in bridge so it can fight a Starhawk 1 on 1.
The New Republic never needed the Starhawks as too many ISDs fled to the Unknown Regions or were picked off by Republic groups.
The Resurgence is just a mobile command post and staging ground now.
I find it retarded that bunch of Imperial remnants and First order were capable of creating ships bigger and better than ISD.
Empire had resources of entire galaxy and massive shipyards, they could afford and produce biggest and baddest capital ships, bunch of petty warlords did not have resources if anything they should fight to keep operational what old ISD they still had.
First Order is double retarded because they had bigger and better ships than Empire despite FO being equivalent of ISIS. But sequell trilogy is completly retarded.
>>95896059Raider was made by FFG for the X-Wing miniature game and just got canonized by Disney, so they had nothing to do with its design. Pretty sure the original Arquitens also showed up in TCW back when Lucasfilms was still running the show, though the Imperial version first appeared in Rebels which was produced under Disney.
>>95868805>>95868853They never wanted to do Boba Fett to begin with. He was a patch-job to make up for the absent Mando season during the writers strike. He's a totally disposable character to Disney, they're rather their """better""" versions of Mandalorians instead.
>>95896105Put the Allegiance into the arms race too, the Empire's answer to the First Order and New Republic.
>>95874517>Why did they make him such a pussy in his own show?Because he needed to just be a vehicle for the new hotness and his marketable plushie companion.
He's not a filoni character so he's not allowed to be cool, only filoni characters are allowed to be cool in the filoniverse

As per tradition, a new comic has found a WWII movie to copy.
Monument Men, and how the New Republic has a small office of people to go into life-threatening danger to recover a galaxyโs worth of looted artefacts. Most of which are now in the hands of scum and illegal buyers.
>>95899489>a WWII movie to copyMy star war piece is a copy of Unknown Soldiers. How about the rest of (you) Anons?
>>95899489This was going to be the central focus of my campaign but then the players became more interested in fighting the Pyke Syndicate and becoming standard frontline commanders for the rebellion. If I wanted to run a sort of hexcrawl-y space exploration without space combat, do you guys have any tips?
I'm using D6, but neither I or my players really like the space combat rules. I'm thinking I want the ship to be more of a downtime location and convenient mode of transport (like a D&D town, almost) and all the cool stuff happens planetside.
I will probably still have some form of limitations/rules about the ship like "you can't go here, it's got X fleet present and your ship can only fly casual or blast through Y fleet or less" but I don't want to actually do combat or chase scenes. Maybe just clip em down to one roll or something?
My players and I are all much more excited to travel to strange new planets, go down in a shuttle and kick ass manually.
Did the Mon Cal build anything that could take on an Imperial-class SD and win?
>>95900869That's usually the case for Charisma-type stats. It's hard to justify giving it any core mechanical benefits that don't involve social skills so everyone other than the party face just dumpstats it unless they need it for a class feature (spellcasting, Makashi, etc.).
>>95901394You could have the group be licensed scrappers, harvesting valuable parts (navicomps, schematics, transmission logs, etc.) from enemy military shipwrecks (crashed into planets, floating in space, etc.) soon after the end of a battle.
While on a wreck, any surviving crew and/or droids will be the enemies (alongside any scrapper teams that are desperate enough to think that they can get away with killing you without being found out by the republic/cis/empire), while on the group's personal ship there'll be the politics of being a glorified vulture that has to remain in contact with people that are offended by your group's existence, lest you miss out on up to date news about where the next big job is (the more they like you, the more likely you'll get actionable information and they might even turn away or delay any scrapper teams that arrive after you).
It's not like there are battle every day, and you don't always have to have the team follow EVERY battle, so they can do what they want between hauls (including selling any loot they smuggle out).
>>95901517MC90s, but not until after Palp's death.
>>95901598That's actually not far off what I was planning anyway. I took inspiration from Indiana Jones and have the PCs as space archaeologists looking for holocrons and idols and crystals and stuff. So exactly what you said, but also planetside activities. Though I doubt they'll be above scavenging ships if the opportunity arises and they're short of money for glow rods and ten foot durasteel poles.
>>95901583it's particularly bad here because the other attributes have more useful social skills
>>95877025Dark Side is the obvious route, plus mentoring a certain spoiler character. After, retiring from being a Jedi altogether, maintaining ANH status quo
Still, they've done everything in the previous two games
>>95899489>>95900167For me, it's still Where Eagles Dare. Two hours of our intrepid Rebel protagonists sneaking around an Imperial planet, trying to suss out the ISB infiltrator in their midst, concluding in 40 minutes of balls-to-the-wall violence and spectacle as they fight what seems to be the entire planetary garrison on their way to extraction. Kino.
For my Clone War fags, it's an adaptation of A Bridge Too Far, for one of the Outer Rim Sieges.

Also using D6 but aside from making space combat fun (i'm thinking about just cutting some of it off, like shield reaction rolls?). I actually could use some help brainstorming up a plot for an underworld/bounty hunter type party. I suppose I could test the waters with something basic, perhaps a bounty on a certain senator? But I also want to give them a proper adventure too.
>>95903388Go to the holocron, get the bounty hunter guide pdf.
