I just brought my long term fantasy campaign to a conclusion.
Unfortunately I had to cut it short, because a few players started to become problematic mid campaign. They got the boot, but the rest of the group and I decided it was time for something new. We've already got a few new players on board, and I'm brain storming some setting and campaign ideas.

Might go for something inspired by Heavy Metal(the comic) and the Gloryhammerverse.

Also wanted to hear what you guys were running in this system, at the moment.

This pic goes hard as fuck, if it wasn't for the gay glasses. Beefy ubermensch warriors wouldn't need corrective lenses, a result of low gestational nutritional

This is probably just me shouting into the void, but have any of you played with hacking rules?
Do you recommend them?
I'm torn between going with Genesys rules for Android or Cyberpunk RED. I like the the idea of the narrative dice, but I'm afraid hacking minigame will slow the game too much.
It's not as big of a problem with RED since I have some experience with it.

Yes, I did. It integrates well into structured encounters. Narrative encounters can be difficult when the group doesn't have a parallel task. Don't get too elaborate when designing networks and this shouldn't be a big deal, though.

I have a Mass Effect one shot with pregen characters prepared. Bunch of friends wanted to try tabletop RPGs for the first time and I didn't want their first experience to be Dnd.

The scenario is pretty simple. PCs start on Citadel, in arrest, either as cops, detainees or visitors, when suddenly one guys head explodes. They investigate the case and eventually find out that guy was a Cerberus agent, working in a cell planning on assassinating a visiting turian politician.

Funny how often I see it as a setting for this system. I remember back when EotE released one of the first things we did with it, was creating a Mass Effect hack.

Slowly going to get a Stargate game off the ground. Going to use the Galaxy Far Way FKR rules to run it so.leaa time stating alien race after Alien race and more grounded narrative making.

I have the impression OP's pic is supposed to be real people transposed into a Vallejo painting but I don't know who.

Yep, the guy was a sleeper agent working as a maintenance worker helping rebuild the wards after Sovereign's attack.
He was caught while snooping around a turian politician's private apartment and was arrested as a burglar. In reality he wanted to plant a pesticide that only kills dextro-amino species, to make it look like an accidental allergic reaction. During the investigation, it turns out that there was another assassin, meant to snipe the guy during a speech, in case the more covert method failed, so players will have to rush to stop them.

The pre-gen PCs are as follows:
>Human C-Sec officer struggling under racist turian superior setting them up to fail
>Sleazy Volus lawyer who came to jail to advertise his services
>Asari Eclipse sister, who came from Illium and got busted at the airport for drug possession (she forgot to empty her pockets before flight)
>Quarian biologist accused of stealing plant samples from corporate vivarium she was interning at
>Schells, the salarian gambler NPC you meet in ME1. He got caught cheating again

Is the pastebin still somewhat usable? I think I should safe some more material before the sands of time make all memories of the /gengeneral/ a forgotten dream.

I think it was cleared up a little, though I don't have the current URL right now.
I never understood why nobody bothered to make a new thread. The last few were even quite active.

Posting stories from actual games is pretty much dead on /tg/ in general and the system has been very much abandoned.
What upset me the most rectently is FFG or Edge or whoever is in charge at the moment released a Call of Cthulu / Arkhamhorror RPG and instead of making it with the genesys engine they already own, they settled for another d20 slop implementation. Absolutely retarded.
Some mechanics for mystery driven campaigns was exactly what we needed for genesys. Everything else has been implemented enough already. Everyone who wants to run something related to space opera can steal freely from starwars or twilight imperium. Fantasy also has loads of content.
So the one big niche that was missing is overlooked again. Tragic in my opinion.

Maybe if I finally get around learning scribus this year I'll make a booklet and tables for running Black Sun Deathcrawl in genesys.
