>after winning the trust of the guards outside the camp the party enters the settlement, wary, but unaccosted by the goblin denizens so far

>as they approach the center of the sprawling mass of tents and dugouts, they see a gathering of dozens of the diminutive creatures, centered around a large pit in the ground, staring into it in silence

>drawing closer, the party sees what has the goblins to captivated; a gelatinous cube sits quivering at the bottom of the pit, some 30 feet down

>suddenly, one of the goblins breaks formation, and pulls down the rags that make up a poor excuse for pants down around his ankles, and gripping onto some dislodged tree roots in the side of the pit, leans over and produces a single turd

>the fecal menace drops down the length of the pit, followed by the silent gaze of the goblin audience (as well as the party at this point), before impacting onto the surface of the cube with a wet thud

>the party watches alongside the goblins as the log begins to melt into the mass of the cube

>the goblins cheer

How does the party proceed?

While the town is distracted by the cube me and my team each aquire a goblin wife and then beat a hasty retreat. One member of the team, sadly, is too mesmerized by the cube and remains behind forever trapped by its thrall.
