>Smash Bros is about children playing out fights with their Nintendo minis
>There is no IRL Smash Bros game with minis
Why not? They even have Amiboo which are sort of minis. You can probably make a nice game ala 40k Kill Team and Fire Emblem.
There are two types of Nintendo fans relevant to this discussion:
>The bulk of them which aren't patient enough to learn a ruleset which is why they play vidya instead
>Turbo-autists who want something as crunchy as GURPs so they can simulate the material properties of the Master Sword attempting to deflect Samus's arm blasts
I don't think Nintendo would be comfortable publishing the latter so all ye get are simple boardgames
I actually was thinking Fire Emblem or Advance Wars would make for a good tabletop wargame.
On another note Bandai makes very simple but well done model kits for Pokemon, they could go that route for something. Pokemon did have a trading figure game like Heroclix but they only ever made one set, then many years later revived it as a mobile game and killed that too.

>>95905808If they sold at Games Workshop prices the sheer number of dedicated fanboys, collectors and scalpers would make it forever worthwhile.
