Are there any other better animated adaptations of TTRPGs or will have to subsist on Lodoss and Edgerunners?

I hear those voices on my PC and by extension occasionally in my dreams, I dont need anymore of any of them. Adaptation thread?

Lodoss is utter shit other than the art and some music.
Just looking at some cool art book while listening a good soundtrack is a better experience than listening to characters screaming each other's names constantly + bunch of random shots of what zoomers call aura farming.

Fucking barely.
A fair few anime are pretty obviously based on TTRPG campaigns, like Slayers or Louie. Urobuchi did one but it was terrible. Dragon something?
I think Scrapped Princess and Chaika must have been too. With the same group.
And Retarded Dragon Girls, according to /a/ meme lore.

Chaos Dragon
It's an anime that is based on a replay series of an RPG game that Urobutcher (Madoka, saya no uta), Nasu (the fate/ man), and Narita (the Durarara/Baccano guy) and some other author I don't know about as the players.

I enjoyed it. Was unfortunately one of those anime from around 2015 that were really made to promote the other material, so its only 1 season and the animation is a bit low budget for the time (some things are CGI and kinda jank in places).

>Louie
Rune Solider Louie takes place in the same setting as Lodoss so you are correct on that. Slayers I don't think is based on a replay but it was serialized in one of the Japanese TTRPG magazines early on.

The OVA Lodoss is beautiful but hard to follow. The TV Anime is a bit... well, I couldn't get into it myself.

>Urobuchi did one but it was terrible. Dragon something
Chaos Dragon. Which is notable because it wasn't based on the actual campaign played but what the writer intended for the plot to actually go. And that's because Nasu was also part of that same game, and apparently he and Urobuchi did what they did best and crashed the game with no survivors while the other players gawked or added to the chaos.

>Urobuchi and Nasu being based
I didn't know that, kek. Their characters in the show are still the best ones.

They are. From what little scraps I could find translated, the plot point where Urobuchi's (genderbent for the anime) assassin decapitates the Saberface and punts her head over to the army before helping to start a zombie apocalypse in the midst of a dragon attack, as well as the duel between Urobuchi and Nasu's characters and the "airship incident" were the main bits retained. The real meat of the story is apparently in the OOC talk, since the story started getting off the rails fast due to everyone trying to screw over Urobuchi before he did the same to them.

Damn if the replays were translated that would probably fit OP's request for adaptations (albiet not animated) better than most.

Slayers (OVA) is a better adaptation of how a campaign really goes...

Konosuba could fool me, too. Main character is surrounded with girls but doesn't bother with them because they're just that stupid. Also the party causes half the problems they have to solve.

A partial translation of the first book exists, but yeah, a full-on translation is a pipe dream right now. Honestly, from the first book alone gives you a sign of how the campaign would go since Nasu was the guy who kept trying to wander off to explore stuff or repeatedly missed important info dumps, just like a real ttrpg player.

Many such cases.
