Are there any settings where nobles are in fact magically and physically superior to the common riff-raff? Off the top of my head, Exalted is pretty much like that, but I can't think of any others.
Maybe Legend of the Five Rings? But in that case, it's more skill and training that innate nobility of the bloodline.

Eh, half and half. It's true that practically all the playable samurai in Rokugan are supposed to be in some way related to the kami that rule Rokugan, but nothing technically stops a peasant from becoming a samurai by sheer grit and accomplishment. It's happened a few times before with particular individuals who were given the right to start their own minor clans on merit alone, after all.

Exalted is not, in fact, like that. The vast majority of Dynasts are human family of Dragon-Blooded and no better off for it aside from what their families give them. The Terrestrial Exalted would still be Terrestrial Exalted even if they grew up in the dirt (see also: Outcastes). Either way, they'd still get rolled in a one on one with a Celestial who grew up in the dirt.

Indeed, the Habsburg chin is truly a sign of both magical and physical superiority.

Not intrinsically /tg/ related, but 90% of LN settings have the nobles be the special people who can use magic unlike the normal peasants.

I always figured 40k nobles were like that since they would have centuries or more of access to gene editing and shit that would be passed down to their kids.

I like common riff-raff are extremely capable if they push their limits and break off the chains holding them down and can compete against special nobles.

Such a rare trope to ever be used or played straight.
