Why on Earth would they not keep increasing the prices if their stock is consistently selling?

whatever economic model you use does not account for whales.

Prices are set according to what the market will pay, not according to the cost of production. This is just regular economics because it's true in every industry.

That chart says the most profitable year was 2021. What happened in 2020, anon, that made people go absolutely crazy and turn to materialism as an escape?

GW customers are spineless paypigs who grovel for any abuse. They deserve it.

That's good for them, it makes them more money.
>>sales are high
That's good for them, it makes them more money.

That's good for them, it makes them more money.

I'm honestly confused as to what needs to be explained. If sales remain high, why wouldn't they raise prices?

Theyโ€™re so successful they have to worry more about overselling and outgrowing their production base than underselling.

It's unironically this. I've watched paypigs complain about the price of GW products for decades and they still keep buying. Why not keep overcharging when your fans are too loyal to stop paying?

>Price of production materials lower
>This increases supply of goods
>This leads to lower prices and higher exchanged goods, but...
>Demand also increases, leading to higher prices (P2) and exchanged goods (Q2)
There's a couple of other things to consider:
>Is there any meaningful competition to GW in the miniature market?
>What's the overall trend in the miniature industry? Are the prices of other miniature manufacturers going down?
>Is there an excess of demand (empty inventories) or supply (over-inventoried product)

This. I dropped in on my local Warhammer store (they had just reopenes) about that time and asked how they'd been handling things. The masked guy looked at me past his barricade of tables and said, "We've never had better sales."

GW charge whatever they think they can get away with. They've carefully dialled in their edition schedule too.

Let me explain, in buisness you have 2 ways to increase profits, either decrease your production/operational costs or increase income. GW do both because they can, so despite having smaller production costs they are still increasing income because paypiggies will buy despite prices going up.
They simply want to make most money, so why would they decrease prices if it means less profits?
If you don't like it don't buy it there will be other whales who will buy it anyway.

This plus they have figured out that by limiting supply runs to once only and then ~maybe~ again a couple years later, people will have that ferar of missing out and buy it the first time it comes out because they know they won't be able to get it ever again except at terrible scalper prices.

Wrong model. You need to look at quasi monopolistic competition.
