If you can do an ok and not cringey french accent and you tone it down so he's just a charismatic french archer who thinks he's a noble casanova type when he's just being a creep, then yeah it's fine no one would even catch the reference.

The concept is cringe by design, because he's an antagonist in the movie. You want to see Fiona punch him in the face. So if you lean too much into making the character like the movie then people will want to punch you in the face.
