I miss the old editions of Warhammer Fantasy, Chaos Gods weren't 100% ultra-evil and had some good aspects, after all they're CHAOTIC, so it made sense.

It also made it believable that some people choose to worshipping them or some of them because that.

Would be cool if GW bring this back in Old World (WF 2.0), AoS and / or 40k.

Ever since then, and once they got rid of Malal, the Warhammer cosmology became insufferably boring. It's just "4 evil assholes who are all-powerful do random shit" and all the other gods may as well not exist.

There is exactly one line in oldhammer lore that says that the Chaos Gods were wholly evil.
Then the same book it comes from and other mainline rulebooks and publications said that they are 100% evil.

even discarding the fact past lore made it clear their good qualities were heavily overshadowed by their evil qualities to the point its pointless to dwell on them, you still see these "good" aspects to the point you still have people arguing they are actually le good (this is especially prevalent with nurglefags)
