Could you be friends with with your character?
I'm a writer. I write. I makde characters for scripts, books, adventure modules, etc. I've been GMing for years, and recently found people in my area who like running things so now I can make characters.
All of this is to say: I never want to meet my creations. Any of them. Ever. Each character I've ever made has been brought forth from a swirling mass of hatred, misery, existential angst, and severe sense of ironic situations. They are things, embued with whatever life I choose to fit my whims.
They cannot be my friends. I have put effort into making many of them fleshed out and unique, but they're objects.
I don't know how God can stomach seeing us, considering how I feel for the things I've brought into existance; many to die or suffer solely for comedic intent.
No, my character is a racist
No, id probably try to kill them only to get raped.
>>95932679 (OP)the one is a knight single-mindedly on a quest, he has no time for friends and we have zilch in common.
the other is a homicidally insane necromancer. maybe if I dropped the "I hate women, love from kazakhstan" early enough in the conversation we could bond over the shared misogyny before he turns me into a funny talking skeleton """friend"""
All my characters are hot goblin bitches who I imagine are my girlfriend, so probably
>>95932679 (OP)No, he's a fictional creation.
>>95932679 (OP)>Could you be friendsEvidence suggests otherwise.
>>95932679 (OP)I mean we're married, so...
>>95932809See, my player made me that exact same shade of miserable nihilist, but in an "I can fix him" sort of way. Maybe you'll be eventually fixed but not likely during this shitty doomed existence LMAO
>>95932679 (OP)>redneck bakerYes. Would even buy bread from.
>>95933702You'd have a lot in common then
>>95934161So long as I have a keyboard and access to a decent word processor, I don't need to be fixed, I just need to work on my projects.
>>95934267I mean, you just said you can't stomach yourself, sounds like a situation that could be improved to me
>>95932679 (OP)Hell no. That would be some Re:Creators shit.
>>95932679 (OP)>sociopath drug dealer vampire who is currently brainstorming with a coterie member about starting a blood cult to get easy access to human sacrifices>PTSD sailor in 1600s Japan dealing with monstersI don't think this would be a good idea.
>>95932679 (OP)>psychotic power-hungry elven vampire who's slowly getting addicted to magicconsidering how mundane i am, probably not
>orc raider trying to carve out a new home for his clangiven that i am neither an orc of his clan nor do i have anything to offer said clan, probably not
>human paladin trying to revive the traditions of his order and reverse decades of corruption from noble "benefactors"given how much i hate "philanthropists" we could probably have some common ground but given that i am not very motivated as a person he'd probably get tired of my doomerism before long. maybe having a bro who is actually going out and getting shit done would motivate me though, then it could work out
>>95936582>Can't believe I got distracted. Most WFRP and Mothership content for /tg/ related activities. Most recently, published today, a Fimir centric adventure called the Fimirplication.
>>95936610If I wasn't channelling that energy into a creative endeavor I would hate myself. I did when I wasn't.
>>95932679 (OP)Yeah but I'd rather just have sex with him/them ("them" as in I've played many different male characters I'd have sex with)
>>95936646So it's a literal cope and seethe
My point stands
>Chromed-to-shit Solo only kept stable by copious amounts of naloxone and benzos.
Once he's had a little therapy and isn't at EMP 2, maybe.
Why is everyone's characters so fucked up?
>tfw all my chars are the big brother I never had
I sure hope so…
>>95932679 (OP)>Necromancer who talks to the skull of his dead wifeEccentric but pretty workable, he's a pleasant fellow. We could get some sandwiches
>Ex mercenary executioner family manHe's a teetotaler so that's pretty much right out, I like drinking and smoking too much.
>Psycho corporate executive wannabe cyborg Spending time with him would be like spending time with Patrick Bateman sans his masking behaviour, would not recommend.
