I enjoy it a lot. It's fun in multiplayer, getting to screw over your neighbors with what you clear off your board. The 'raid mode' where you go up against a boss is also a lot of fun. We never play the way you're supposed to, though, which is on a three minute timer.

Its great , but I only play free for all with the soundtrack as the timer. Ive no idea if the other modes are any good.

Ive tried the free demo of the vydia adaptation of this boardgame on steam. It's mechanics are slightly different. It's called bullet surge, you get 4 different characters/bosses to try. It released on 11th of july.
Im 3 hours in and I think Im already addicted.

It's one of those games where "deluxe" components are kinda required if you are gonna be playing it with any kind of frequency.
Cardboard circles getting manhandled in a draw bag by people freaking out in real time is a major point of failure.

You can cheap out and buy 25mm coin capsules. Not as good as the deluxe tokens but way better than cardboard.

Yeah, the timer is only for free for all and teams mode but if you dont like the timer dont use it. The game functions the same, mechanically.

Was there anything interesting in the Bullet Cube crowdfunding?
I completely ignore their campaigns as shipping and exchange rate is atrocious, but if any of the expansions or promo girls are nifty, I might pick them up at retail once they arrive.

I dont think they are doing anything that is exclusive to the campaign but I doubt you will see the big box and the promo characters showing up on retail.
I'm still on fence if i should late pledge or not because finding LVL99 games on EU is almost impossible.

They are still doing tweaks to the box according to their last update but I do wonder how pratical it is.
I think that getting a good insert for the Heart and Star box seem the way to go.

second of all, it's fun but can get old fast if you play too much.

it has a scripted steam workshop mod on tabletop simulator that's pretty good
never played it physically but i'd say the game's fun

For awhile, Level 99 was my favorite publisher. Every game they put out was various degrees of solid. Some better than others, sure, but none of them seemed to be terrible. I think the Dead By Daylight game was a serious misstep. They should not be making mini-focused, borrowed IP shit. I'm also a little leery about some of their imports. Sakura Arms was way too fiddly for my tastes and it got sold off to another publisher anyways. And now they want to bring over a Euro by a Japanese designer and illustrator, and I can't help but wonder if it's art first, game second.

My thought is that I don't like the cover art. The juxtaposition of an apparently young-looking girl with the overt sexualization makes me uncomfortable.
