>>95986428 (OP) What? What makes GMs angry? A guy having a bow and a buckler? When has that ever happened?

>>95986428 (OP) Every piece of equipment should have some kind of downside, or else why wouldn't the player just have it constantly? Use a buckler with a two-handed sword too, why not. Wear it while you're sleeping, or jerking off, too. I get that it can be justified, but I just think the opportunity cost of not being able to use certain other equipment if you have a shield is just a good tradeoff.
don't bucklers give you a free hand normally? I know PF2E has a raise shield action too so I think those two things in tandem should cover it.

>>95987772 A radical GM would have a bevy of wrist-mounted contraptions that would be locked out by a buckler, such as a wand sheathe, grapple-gauntlet, hidden blade, etc. Otherwise, logistically the major thing a wrist-strapped small shield would inhibit is weapon-switching.
>>95988654 >You can wield the wrist buckler for a +1 to defense in exchange for a -1 to your combat checks! >NO WHAT THE FUCK I SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE MY CAKE AND EAT IT TOO "Logistically" having that dumb bullshit strapped to your arm is going to impede your manual dexterity.
>>95987772 >Every piece of equipment should have some kind of downside Just gate it behind a skill or background requirement. Using a buckler along with another weapon requires training and familiarity, and doesn't need to be something that everyone does universally, but rather can be favored by certain cultures/factions more than others.
>>95988960 Yes, we should have genocided all questfags instead of contained them.
>>95989030 I see you have forgotten the cocksucker rule. It clearly states in OPs homebrew that when you suck as much cock as OP this is totally legit.
>>95986428 (OP) Sure you can have it by taking a feat for it. Also you lose the shield bonus if you attack with a bow that turn, as you can't maneuver the shield and aim the bow at the same time.

>>95987772 I thought the penalty was that you were using a buckler which was always going to be worse at shielding than a proper shield

>>95988795 reminds me of the anon arguing his one hand fighter should totally be allowed to fight with two-handed weapons or daggerheart where gm cannot destroy a pc's wheelchair unless everyone at the table agrees
