Its insane 40k posters on this board will cry about nu lore but then at the same argue so much over pre 8th lore to the point they cant stand tau winning whatsoever.

You blame GW but honestly? You fucks really killed the community for 40k here

you know what i mean. White Scars and Raven Guard, together with the Iron Hands are the "literally who" chapters of the bunch. When Tau beat Ultras, Space Wolves, Black Templars or one of the two Angels chapters, im willing to give them a bit of attention. But not a moment before that.

Nope. Not once, ever. That's what makes them special. And fun. They're the best antidote for overwrought marine wank short of just giving up and playing orks instead.

Beating a space marine task force is a vary different thing to killing space marines in mass and driving them off you world like wiped curs.

In one you are putting them in such a unwinnable strategic position that they must fall back or be destroyed. Which is the normal way anyone ever defeats the space marines. And the second almost never happens to the first founding chapters as the limitation and specialness of each space marine means narratively speaking you can not treat them as disposable pawns the same ways you can the more disposable chapters or the poor guardsmen. It would create to much narrative dissonance if you killed them like that then reused them in the next story like it had never happened. It would piss the readers off if you tried to trick them like that and failed to do so. Nobody likes being the butt of a bad joke after all.

Yeah GW tends to do that with the lore whenever they want to sell a particular figure range.
"Look paypigs! Today's (insert current figure range) beat the crap out of yesterday's figure range! Arn't they cool! Buy some now!"
Why are you getting excited about what boils down to being just a fucking advert? What's next, reeing about what adventures Colonel Saunders or Ronald McDonald have been up to?

>When Tau beat Ultras

Don't worry, it's coming. Recent Tau lore has hinted that they are preparing a massive invasion of Ultramar. And since GW has shown that they will never have the Tau truly suffer a defeat, if they go through with this invasion of Ultramar plotline, then the likely outcome will be a Tau victory.
