I miss the old Warhammer 40k vibes....not lore or art or game wise...I miss the Warhammer 40k vibes the community used to give off now its just endless toxicity, constant infighting, backstabbing, and overall a sense of people being mad for little reason

Sounds like more of the fanbase started understanding the themes of Warhammer 40K.

The community developed a division between primaries and secondaries after the secondaries (which made all the OC) rose to eclipse the primaries in terms of cultural focus.
This caused a resentment which became hostility and that hostility drove the secondaries from communities like /here/ to places like reddit.
And from there nothing could be fixed.

Yeah, most people who made most of the actual board culture left.
And the reasons being quests being banned and then mods became gay and started banning artists because they were "avatarfagging"

First of all, you should realise that there is "the community". Find like-minded people, either in RL or online, and ignore the trash and your hobby experience will improve by a lot. If you accept the worst rabble as "your community" without any effort from your side to filter them, you should not really complain that they behave like shit, because that's just what the majority of people are.

Protip: Get off the internet, find a few like-minded buddies, play games and paint models. Touch flock.
