No one in the Fellowship was Chaotic, you'd be insane to think otherwise honestly.
And acting out of Alignment is natural happenstance. It doesn't dictate your actions, your actions dictate it.
Wouldn't expect nuD&Dopes to understand this though. They play entirely from the sheet and so what's written there is concrete to their feeble minds.

Even the worst actor in those movies (Orlando Bloom) did a really good job in that scene. He definitely manages to convey an elf's "I am immortal and so is everyone I know, I am really not sure how to process someone dying" mindset. A little lost, a touch of confusion, sudden realization...
