>A great kingdom taken over by a 1 in 1000 generation genius Ogre chief in a time of post war weakness
>The ogre is so greedy that he fiercely protects his people from all outside threats
>So greedy in fact that he does everything he can to ensure that his people prosper and thus can afford to keep paying their taxes
>the ogres idea of absolutely decadent hedonistic pleasure is braised pork and the biggest damn mud pillar the kingdom has ever seen.
>kingdom becomes shockingly nice place to live after a period of cautious unease

>cowboy goblins fond of short poems of only a couple lines with brevity being the goal [however only being 1-3 words is extremely faggy and pretentious]

>elves and gnomes both from the moon but Elves embraced earth and earth rejected the gnomes.

I have a module that I started designing (did a bunch of art and writing but haven't completed a scenario map) that is based entirely around firefighting. Players are firefighters and have to put out a raging fire in a Mage tower/Magic Bazaar. Naturally the main enemies are fire elementals but I have some wildcards and a conspiracy interwoven into the outbreak of the fire including some optional combats with the survivor NPCs. Did lots of goofy characters as my setting is a very black comedy fantasy setting.

Firefighting is a really interesting and unusual angle to approach from. At least it's not something I've really seen before.
There's a lotta potential though. I like the conspiracy angle. I hope it sees the light of day.

Thank you. The map is maybe the hardest part. It's a couple of floors, being like a mix of a wizards tower and a mini-mall, so there are a couple of routes through it with different things happening in different areas. That and the Smoke Elemental I homebrewed are tricky to work out and will require a lot of testing.

Western game, reloading revolvers is a test based on the maximum number of rounds the gun can hold. With a six-shooter, you roll a 1d6 + a relevant skill.
Also, wanted to combine this with a weird west setting based on alternative history: Napoleon won and conquered most of Europe, now also pushing into the Americas. The Aztec empire never collapsed, it got stronger instead and extends its influence into the plains. And Japan did its empire thing early and now settling on the West Coast.

Some characters just arent built for certain places. Players can make a more suitable character for the dungeon or find a way around it.

A high fantasy setting where the PCs are coming from our world, from any historical period.
>They come with whatever they have at the moment, so a WWII soldier may arrive with his rifle, but will likely run out of ammo quickly.
>Isekai'd characters with little to no combat abilities (if you want to play a modern otaku, for example) can be paired with a character from the fantasy realm who can fight for them.
>They are not the only character from our world who crashed into this one, some of these may even be antagonists.
>Turns out this fantasy realm is a Super-Sargasso world of some sort, where beings and creatures from a wide variety of dimensions periodically pop up. Similarly, most of the monsters are castaways from other, weirder worlds.
I still think it's a fun idea, because it allows the players to crack modern jokes, try to pull all sorts of ploys and have fun interactions in-character, but fantasy isn't too much of my thing.

>Dwarves summon lovecraftian horrors in their mountainrange home and are forced to exile, with 3 tribes becoming distant and culturally distinct
>Northern "trad" dwarves are your basic tolkien deal but even more isolationist, living in last remaining proper mountain holds
>South-western dwarves settle the dry plains down the mountainrange and are basically cowboys x messopotamians
>Eastern dwarves settle on the sea-side eastern edge of the mountainrange that is a wild wet jungle (wind is blocked on this eastern side thus western side is dry) and basically become Incas that also do a lot of naval trading
This was originally from a half-baked idea of "what if I just ripped off Warcraft and did shit I'd like to see in Warcraft in it instead", so I can share other ideas if anyone cares

I thought about this post later and realized it would actually give the dungeon a lot of character. Imagine the only place in a halfling dungeon suitable for big folk being jail cells.

Sounds fun. I really like a chance to gawk at how strange other characters are

>you're from HOW long ago?
>you did WHAT for a living?

I'd probably play some haughty asshole from the islamic golden age.

I've never seen cowboy + mesopotamian slapped together but it sounds surprisingly compelling. Do any of them claim to be the true successors of the old dwarves? Have they been apart long enough to look different?

>Long ago, a blasphemous Lord of our land attempted to seize all knowledge of the realm, to put to fire all that contradicted his vile, alien teachings. The librarians, at last fed up with the ignorance and pride of the ruling class, elected to preserve the texts entrusted to them by fleeing, using the Old Machines, to a more welcoming dimension, one that would allow them to continue their studies in peace before finally returning to Regenek. By the hastiness of an eager novice, however, the libraries flew right past the desired reality and ended up in a most strange land, where beings walk on two legs and use just as many appendages to manipulate the world, where the sky hangs low, and everything is so very bright.
>Help us, please.

I wanted to run a campaign of fantasy mecha combat.
Bunch of options for your mecha, each with different advantages
>How parts are animated magically vs mechanically
>Which materials is it mostly made of (stone, clay, wood...)
>Carefully sculpted vs rough materials
Combat including
>Mech vs mech
>Mech vs giant fantasy monsters
>Mech in a battlefield, vs troops, siege weapons and other mechs
This is something I may still do, honestly, but I'm not too sure where to start for the combat system

Here my 2 cents on various things
>Ideas for WoD Mage Campaign
>A technocratic campaign the players are the "damage control" agents, Inspired by X-files and Fringe. The players should go and investigate technocratic shit that is appearing and seems that is not made by the normal convention, the campaign leads to a conspiracy where a rogue and secret convention is trying to push the ascension war.
>Always in the same campaign I was thinking to put a mentor/double agent, the archive guy is an old man that was a MIB during the cold war, everytime a case is solved and you bring him the report or ask before the campaign start he will comment on that he reminds him of his old days and he worked on a similar case, to later discover in the campaign that he worked with every scientist in the past(like walter in fringe).
>Ideas for Cyberpunk Campaign
>War veteran goes cyber psycho even without implants or have basic implants, it's not the only guy seems there is a pattern and the other guys were "Retarded".
>the war veterans are all a secret experiment for advanced nano droids or implants that seems normal at first, but transform them in killing machines, the "Retarded" are infact sleeper soldiers or they gave them so much drugs and brain washing that now are retarded only to prevent the activation of the killing protocol, but in some cases is activated and the guys come back "normal".
>I imagine a scene where the PCs go to a park and see this retard gardening they try to ask question and is just stupid phrases, but at random seems becoming real serious, start looking the player with a crazy eye and start saying patriotic stuff and try to kill the PCs.
>ideas for pathfinder 1st ed
>a campaign set on hunting warbands of bandits and disgraced mercenaries in a war torn kingdom, one of the warband would use a mix of guy with Lances ready for a charge and the other half guys with a spike armor they would hug the players, lift them and charge the spear and impale.

A game that uses only one d% roll.

The attacker must roll d% under his skill (subtracted by the defender's defense score). Let's say his final skill is 60%. He must roll under 60% to hit.

Damage is fixed by weapon plus the sum of the tens and the singles.
In the above example, rolling 61 is a miss. Rolling 60 is a hit and he deals 6 (6+0) extra damage. Rolling 59 is a hit and he deals extra 14 (5+9) damage.

Hit location is determined by the module of the subtraction of the tens and singles. So a roll of 59 is 5 - 9 = -4, module of -4 (|-4|) is 4. It hits the right leg. If the roll was 60, it would be 6 - 0 = 6, it hits the left arm.

Doubles trigger special effects. So rolling 55 or 44 or 33... Activates a special effect (stun, slow, burn...) specific of that attack or weapon.

And I want the multiples of the tens and singles to do something too. So 59 is 5 * 9 = 45, and 60 is 6 * 0 = 0 and so on.
