Ain't it crazy how 40K peaked in 1st Edition and it's been downhill since?

2nd Edition is alright but it's a dumbed down Battle Manual. I like to play the Horus Heresy but it's quickly going the path of 3 year slop release cycles, kinda based that they've brought back the Rogue Trader statline though.

In B4 boomer accusations (I'm zoomin')

You are objectively correct, Rogue Trader is the best - Even the battle manual is too nü for me in some things - Realm of Chaos : Slaves to Darkness is the ultimate supplement and the absolute peak of GWs creative output - dizzying heights of achievement were reached in 1988, the likes of which we may never see again.

All the White Dwarf material in 1987-1989 pretty much set up 2nd Edition in both lore and rules.

If it is a competition based on who played the older edition(s) would Laserburn players be the ultimate patricians here?
