Opinions on it and tips for a relatively new handler?

Literally one of the best games out there.

Use the premade adventures, give the players home scenes (don't rush the plot, give the terror time to marinate), incorporate places and cultures your players know to really make it hit home.

Be merciless, don't let your players solve the mystery, make them exterminators and not investigators. Use the Handler persona to ground the players and remind them to do their job instead of playing CoC.

Get on it OP, the game is really fun.

Itโ€™s pretty fun when it works.
In general, it really helps if you and your players understand how some of the big federal agencies the players are coming from work. It doesnโ€™t have to be comprehensive, but spend a little bit of time learning about the FBI, Homeland Security, the EPA, the ATF, and of course the US Military and law enforcement.

Said everything I could but better.
OP I've been DMing for almost 20 years and my best campaign of all time was Delta Green. My buddies still talk about it.

Nice. I ran Last Things Last a while back to get my buddies an idea of what it's like, and apparently they were fucking tense almost the whole way through lol. Think I'd start out with some lighter, non-supernatural stuff first to loosen them up and vary it from there, keep them from being so tense that they don't progress at anything more than a snail's pace but keep them from being gungho.

This, so much. I can't really play DG with my current group because they don't even have a procedural TV understanding of law enforcement. Love the system, love the idea, takes a particular kind of group to really sing.

Don't send them into a straight carnage first time. An easy assignment. Give them hope for their first mission. Well done boys you did it, you stopped the cthullus. Let them interact with their cute little kids and kiss their wifes as their come home as heroes.

Its good, really good. I love most of the premade stuff but hate the gods teeth series its too on the nose and annoying and next to imposible to find people who are ok with its content. Other than that its fantastic, the world building is wonderful and I love how it plays.

Tips
Be awful to you're players, let them know they will go insane and/or die. Its part of the fun!
Don't give too much away, be coy with the monster and don't show it until you are ready to end it.
Start small, dont jump into a large game first just give them something smaller at first. Lotta great short games that even work good as a oneshot.

Its such a fun game if you are the right kinda psycopath

Oh, I'm know like 4 out of 5 players (last one is just like 90% sure) for my group would do well enough that I could surprise them with God's Teeth. One of my players is the DM for all our 40k ttrpg campaigns, and we all did a rather fucked up Black Crusade campaign, so we know we can handle that stuff.

If you think you're group will like it then run it. Just run one or two more "normal" missions first. Makes the rug pull at the end of part 1 work better.

All good points I would only maybe disagree on
>Use the premade adventures
maybe I just had shit handlers and teammates and maybe they chose shit adventures, but most of them didn't stick the landing for me. Last campaign I finished was Gods teeth and it was genuinely boring as fuck. We also did the extra scenarios that were added l8er.
But then again I'm an Euro and the American centric circle jerk kinda annoys me, but thats my problem.
Im not saying avoid all premade adventures, there are some good ones to get the players and your self in a good mindset, Last Things last being one of them. Also people will talk about don't let yor players be gunho-ish, I say let them, after they get a couple characters killed they will learn their lessons

oh man tell me about it.
>next to impossible to find people who are ok with its content.
Is you mean the kid stuff its really not that bad, its a horror game after all. Horror isn't just being scared. But everything else about it thinks its sooo clever.
>>96075112
Unless they are *that kind of players, I don't see anything in Gods teeth that would shock them.
>>96075134
It's hardly a rug pull, its a fucking railroad. I went in blind, most players did. It was so fucking obvious what was going to happen. I was like ok fine, like this first railroad is ok I guess. But it just keeps happening. I was waiting for the campaign to get good and then I realized we were half way trough it and it was yet to get good.
Im not even American, I'm European but all the American problems bored the shit out of me. I don't care for US politics. I just realized huh this will be the formula for the rest of the game. How boring.
