My setting has a state that's run by a group of atheist knightly orders.

They used to be religious and a part of the main Empire that united their species, until said empire collapsed due to internal corruption and a war they lost.

Thus, the knights blamed the church and the religion for what happened, and did a 180, now being raging reddit atheists.
