Nah, I think artistically it kind of makes sense for most Primaris armors to look so sparse compared to the older stuff. It's just been rolled out fairly recently, so individual Marines haven't had time to customize it as much. We're just starting to see fancier stuff now. Hopefully it'll be back to where it was before long.

I guarantee you that model started life as Shrike but someone in corporate said they weren't allowed to bin the existing Shrike model (despite it being really shit and liked by literally nobody) so the design team changed the head slightly and called it a day. I honestly don't even know if the Marine is on a rock or what. It looks bent and broken and has metal bits jutting out of it. No clue what it's supposed to be, but whatever it is, why would you want something so distinctive and singular and tied to a specific location on your model (that is hypothetically going to fight on a variety of battlefields)?

I like the fully helmeted version as a marine. The tactical tree ruins the model. any conversions that remove it will make the model look far better. Even if he still has to 'stand' on something it doesnt need to be anywhere near as big. Or if someone is good at greenstuff/apoxy sculpting changing the cloth to a different angle to have him look like he is midair would fix it, but this is besides the point.
