Favorite colorless-producing land?

I still don't have any deck I can play in a ranked format. What can/should I make to grind out rank for the next 11 days so I don't miss out on the free packs? I like playing a bit longer games and sort of dislike aggro playstyle. I've been to mythic years ago when standard was magda/goldspan shit, so I think I can do it. I just don't know what to play and also don't want to spend wildcards on things that are going to rotate out. Preferably something on the cheaper side wildcard wise. Is there anything I can do with final fantasy since I drafted the set to near completion?

At this point you should probably wait for EOE quick draft. We're far enough into the set that most of the fellow newbies have dried out. You could try FIN premier if you're feeling lucky, bronze probably won't be too bad. Definitely don't do traditional, in any set.

When drafting a set it's good to know all the different metas and synergies the set has designed for it and plan a deck around one of those.

Playing Random Encounter in standard ranked is fun but man it just feels like a worse reanimator unless I go first with multiple ramp spells and highroll the encounter. On the upside I did complete the achievement for doing 20 burn damage in one turn by playing terror of the peaks into an encounter on the next turn that hit 4 creatures.

There really are barely any flex slots in that deck. You're forced into playing all the obvious creatures + 4 Snakeskin Veil.. then you get to choose 1-2 cards out of maybe 5 viable options.

I actually hate Greasefang players more than anything because I can't see any reason to play the deck aside from being a massive furfaggot.

If there is a good bundle you should get it. There are so many rare lands that are needed if you want to play advanced decks that all take an absurd amount of wildcards if you want to stay relevant. But you can do it f2p, you may just get stuck with only being able to play 1 color pairing for a while.

Play starter deck duel for quite a time. It will teach you the basics of present card pool and often is more fun than clusterfuck of other constructed formats. Save all the gold you could.

Then, learn to draft. It is fun for some people, as the power level is lower gameplay-wise and gambling is fun too. Don't open the packs from it until you finish the set.

At the end of the set season, you'll get a good portion of the set and a some packs that can be opened which gives you wildcards. Once you have about 30-40 rare wildcards you are free to build almost any deck in any constructed format. It's a matter of taste, but aggro is easier to play, often is cheaper and allows you to play constructed events if you cannot stomach randomness of drafts. I advise you wait a week intil the next set and do that.

Quick drafts are cheaper and good to learn. Premier drafts are a good source of cards, packs and gems once you got good. Avoid traditional drafts. From platinum rank and higher drafts become harder because you'll play against non-retards.

Use gems to buy mastery pass once you complete it. It's good value too.

If the chart is all formats then yeah it's going to go up and up and up. If its standard only then the chart crashes in the middle shortly after they start hiring women and minorities. There literally wasn't a single card banned in standard in 2012-2016, and most of the other formats they were banning cards in during that time didn't even exist when the company was "white men only"

Also it's difficult to really answer the question because there are several charts for standard but only looking at standard without considering bans in other formats isn't looking at the whole picture. You also have to be a little careful looking at bans by year in the appropriate context because cards may have been banned because a new format was created or the gay cultural sensitivity bans or something like that, or a card being banned then unbanned and banned again multiple times and in doing so they brought other cards down with it.

It's random and has insanely strict deck building requirements which massively increase the chances of bricking to avoid whiffing which also makes it difficult to put it in a red aggro deck. My idea of it being 4 mana comes from the current format having a 4 mana reanimation spell that is effectively an "I win the game button" in a deck with far less restrictions on what you can play in the deck. If a deck can win with haste on turn 4 or 3 if they ramp and such a deck that can run cards which allow them to rummage, I should be able to RNG into a win if I'm lucky enough at the same speed.

Hearthstone's battlepass is $20 flat with no option to buy it for ingame currency, and also only barely gives any currency back as compensation, it's almost entirely cosmetics. Urza is very strong. The Red mage's Rapier, Purphoros, 3x Nouliths, Ice flan, 2x Mysidian Elder, and Sabotender they have in their deck aren't. Red and blue are such deep colors in this draft set that I would expect a "Great" UR deck to have significantly less than 8 chaff spells in their deck. There's only ~6 non creature spells that can reasonably be spent 4 or more mana on. I'd call it a good deck if there were 2 Call of the mountain chocobo and an Ice magic in it.

I've posted all my draft runs every set for the past few sets. You don't need to go infinite to get sets as f2p, you just need to be good enough to go indefinite. You get around 90k (I guess more like 60k now) gold per set, that's more than enough to finish a set with.

How though? Bo3 constructed is easy, you can play an actual deck and plan counters around your opponents and play smarter than them. Sure you can flood/screw same as any game, but in constructed it's much easier to avoid doing so and in draft you can flood/screw but you also might just get shit cards or you might just play against an opponent who plays t1 rare, t2 rare, t3 mythic, t4 rare against your shitass commons/uncommons and not draw any removal. Bo3 draft is a little better, but you probably aren't getting many good cards to sideboard in, especially if you are "keeping yourself open" in the first pack and picking off color cards you wind up not using. It takes 5 wins to go positive 100 gems. Getting 5 wins consistently over and over in draft is a pipe dream. Sure 4 wins is "nearly neutral" but it's still draining you slowly over time and all it takes is a few bad drafts and suddenly you are struggling and poor again. Meanwhile standard, if you play a good deck and know how to play magic you can easily get consistent wins since your deck is more consistent and all you have to worry about is being a better player than opponent, not worry about 20 different things like draft.

There are rules regarding the order in which things resolve. That's probably the most complicated part of the game but only when instant speed effects start interrupting each other.
If you do this.

You can pick any land, "search your library" is always from your entire library unless some card specifies otherwise.

There's a lot of different cards with different nuances, the main one here being it's a 0/0 creature spell but it would enter as a 5/5 (assuming it's 0/0 base) creature on the board. It would count for something like garruk's uprising, but not something like gwenna. Probably best to ask about specific cards.

Enchantments stay on the board unless something says otherwise. Auras will go to the graveyard if whatever they're enchanting leaves the board.

It's fun, and free to try out. The starter queue will put you up against other people using starter decks, so you can just mess around there to try stuff out without someone bashing you in with a top tier netdeck. There's multiple formats in the game, usually there's at least one that's decent at any given time. If you get into draft, decks will basically never be the same because everyone creates them on the fly.

You failed by mulliganing this in draft.
The absolute worst result of keeping this land is "no land nor 1/2/3 drop in the next 3 draws", which, if you built a deck intelligently, should be nearly impossible.
If you draw a land, that's the second worst result, you play on turn 4. It's bad, but probably salvageable.
If you draw a 2 or 3 drops, you're pretty much on par or better.
