Not mad, just disappointed. I actually like the concept of scrappy salvagers with a doofy balloon jump pack strapped to their back, but the models themselves are pretty lackluster. They're all in really dynamic poses but at the same time they look oddly static and lackadaisical and the faces all look more confused than stern or gruff.

It wouldn't fix everything but if it were me I would've given them all tubed rebreathers to really drive home the salvage diver look and give the squad leader a big daddy old school diver helmet.

This seems like the most relevant thread to talk about the new Chorf line.

I really don't get what they're thinking demoing their default color scheme with that warpstone green. It really clashes with the deep ashy reds and oranges you'd expect. Overall it's got the whole overdoing magic on units thing that makes it less special most AoS shit has been doing with its designs.

The centaurs are now ugly morbidly obese cows instead of swift killers. The basic chodes are just bland jobbers standing lifelessly with no emotion or movement or threat and look 99% identical with each other and every chaos dwarf 'hero' figure, no hats, no pompous attitude, beards forgettable, weapons non-chaos. The 'machines' just look like warmachine units.

the shocking thing is GW released old world because everyone loved Total War Warhammer so much and yet, GW refused to simply take the Chaos Dwarf sculpts from the video game that people loved and GW had approved of and make them into an army. This trash looks nothing like the badass video game chaos dwarfs.

Votann can be fixed merely by swapping their heads for fantasy dwarf heads and then you've got a space dwarf as they should have been. These ones have too many shitty baubles that distract from the very simple and basic them of sky dwarfs with skyships and skypacks. All the "reddit 2013 steampunk" shit with the tophats and gears and whatever else. Oh and the "don't respect rules" shit, but also having a book for rules, because they don't like traditions bogging them down cuz they're the opposite of the ancient dwarf empire (which was apparently exactly the same as the warhammer fantasy one, except in sigmarworld).

Lots of complaints about the new chorfs but they're miles ahead of whatever this is, even pretty close to being an updated look for the 2011 ones.

Ironically I actually liked the "dwarf ironbreakers with Treeman allies" army that never got off the ground. Now that was a unique concept.
