Here's an idea for Maid: Concubines! The PCs are all concubines in the imperial harem, trying to draw the Emperor's attention while dodging shanking attempts from the others.
I mean I guess it could work for the Middle East harem too, but I've watched so many palace dramas the idea has basically been ground into me by now.

I've read it cover to cover. What part of OP's concept couldn't work in vanilla MAID? At most you might have to refluff some of the random events or cut out certain additional rules (no playing a Butler unless maybe you rename it Eunuch, for example) but that's about it.
