I am so glad I stopped playing this gay ass game. I liked Ixalan as much as the next guy, but when they did the jurassic park cross over I knew it would only go downhill from there. now this game is just going to become a repository of whatever pop culture swill is hyped up at the moment, and there's no going back
it's honestly poetic, like an aeschylean tragedy. They spent decades building up internal lore, they spent all that time and effort trying to create a "feel" that their game hit - and now it's all just being hollowed out, so these major franchises can take them for a ride
it's like the girl from a small town, who spends all her time studying and avoiding gossip, drugs, parties. she stays single, never even dates, goes to college and gets straight As - and then her senior year she just becomes a party animal and let's the football team and every frat on campus run trains on her
honestly it's ok to stop playing. I see how you people talk about it, all you do is complain. I really can't believe that anybody even likes this game, except for the e-thots and onions-facers who hype up every new set like "omg guys this is going to finally make this game goood!!!11!!" No. No it's not. this game will never be good, and really it never was good. if you look past the nostalgia and remember all the time it was unfun and you lost money you'll realize that it was a mirage, bright colors and flashy, glamorous hype trains just trying to get you to pay for a stack of cardboard that would be worth less than a nickel in one years time
I mean think about it. a pack of cards. fifteen slips of paper. before they're opened, they cost 5, 10 bucks. the simple act of tearing the plastic - of removing the ambiguity - renders them worthless 95% of the time. Yet you'll just show up and shell out multiple times a year.
join me. reject magic. return to society.
