My best friend met his fiancé in uni, they were together for 9 years, they did all the shit like buy a house together, then buy a bigger house, go on exotic holidays, post photos of themselves on social media, build their careers in the same company and so on. She would talk to me about how they'd love to see more of me and how my mate would enjoy it, she genuinely cared about him. They were the most stable couple out of our extended friendship group. Our mates used to tell me they were sure the guy would ask me to be the best man at the wedding. Then one day the girl told my mate that she felt they wanted different things in life, walked out on him that day, got a bunch of tattoos, and started being an influencer, "blogging" round the world and hanging out with guys with a similar amount of tattoos. You simply don't know what other people's relationships are like.
