It seems a little better than at first glance. The LV6s have similar effects to the old Dark Masters, except you can play them for the same cost as the searchers, and if you play by effect/breeding then they aren't deleted at EoT. If they are deleted, they add to security. I don't know about Apocalymon, just seems like a finisher, but it's neat that it puts your played out LV6s back into security.

Have started playing this game, a friend gifted me a sukamon deck and holy shit it's fun as fuck.

I got into the Digimon TCG a couple days ago because I was getting tired of Yugioh. I like the ruleset but the more I read cards the more I realize enrgy doesn't matter because even with my scrub ass, I can recover upwards of 5 a turn with some decks. BT12 Superior Mode costs 4 and BT21 Superior Mode, which is the real cancer one, costs 3 in-archetype. This costs 5 even in-archetype, 4 if you use the new Gulus.

Additionally, this uses DIFFERENTLY NAMED Digimon with Gammamon IN THEIR NAME. There are only 5 digimon with Gammamon in their names in the first place, so if you want to hard play this you need to run Kaus and Wezen which are otherwise kind of mid. If you want to digivolve this from the new Gulus (played) and still get the attack, you need two more Gulus in the yard (one to place with its own effect and one to place with Regulusmon's) as well as Gammamon and another named level 4 (probably BT21 Betel). Absolutely possible but restrictive enough to make it hard to do early.

You're also limited in how you can use this as a source, because all the effects so far on Tamers and level 4 Gammamons add sources with Gammamon IN THE NAME. You need to find another level 5 first to use this as a source. And the only in-archetype ways for Gammamon to trash cards from its hand also just so happen to be other Regulusmons, so this is kind of a brick if it's the only level 5 you've found. At the very least, it'll cost 5 and probably won't have access to its EoT attack effect until you've gotten two level 4s killed and gotten a third one out.

Each effect has to be fully resolved in order. Opponent attacks resolving all their when attacking effects, old Belphemon trashes 2 and ends the attack, then Astamon gets to play a digimon, then Witchmon applies End of Attack Delete.

New Belphemon doesn't end the attack so you get to do Astamon and Witchmon then counter timing, then block timing, then the attack resolves with Security checks and finally end of attack effects.

I really don't know how much Colon support we're going to get. There IS room for another full line in Green, but that would come at the expense of room for more Belphemon support or any more Green Appmon (besides maybe a level 3?), and I know nothing about where the remaining Appmon for Deusmon are likely to end up color-wise. Nah, Primogenitor is bullshit but it isn't as good as Miraculous Mega Knight.
Primo only triggers when a Free Digimon would be deleted. You can bounce, bottom deck or De-Digivolve a Paildra stack and it does nothing.
It also doesn't make a new Digimon, so lingering effects (like DP or Sec A-) still apply to the Imperialdramon.

If you have the capacity to DeDigivolve any Omnimon player will know to just use a BT17 mega instead of the Nokia ones. And then there is literally nothing you can do unless your Digimon is both effect immune and big enough to survive an Omni Ace block.

I started playing the TCG at EX09 because I love the DM gimmick and want to commit to it. Vademon seems really powerful so I fit it into my ver.1 deck.
I tried a ver.1/4 mix for a bit, but raid wasn't as useful in my testing. A bigger menace is Airdramon > Mamemon.

"Cards doing different things" doesn't really get the point across, and leaves out all the Alchemy-only cards. They do buff and nerf cards like you'd expect from a live-service game that isn't tied to a physical product, but there are also Alchemy-legal cards that do things that work in a video game format but not in paper Magic, like "conjuring" (kind of like a cross between making a token and adding a card "from outside the game") or "perpetually" (effects permanently applied to a card for the rest of the game, lingering as it changes zones), and just random effects in the vein of the Un- Urza planeswalker.

Its existence as a separate format in Arena means that you have the option to just not engage with it if you don't want to, or play it exclusively if you like. But that has the flaw of, if no one cares, it just dies.

There's another thing that Alysion could do with regards to its for not exclusive cards: literally just buff them in the client over the course of the story mode, and don't print them in paper until they reach their final form. Might suck for people who want to see those Digimon and characters in the physical card game sooner, but it's an idea.

It's a fun deck. It's outclassed by a lot of other "big unfuckable bruiser" type decks, but with adequate setup it can otk pretty reliably. The main weakness of the deck is blue and green removal, like bouncing and bottoming. Hopefully the lv7 has some sort of protection from it.

Back in chapter 15.2 after Yao's duel with the NPC while she was hacking the treasure chest, the crystal she had gotten that gave her the Unique Emblem card and her level 7 split into like 10-ish pieces as it flew off. I assume those pieces are going to the debug team, including the ones on novel side, because that's more than what would be necessary for only the comic side characters.

I don't think you need any more help against decks that trash material when you're de-digivolving their shit and gaining memory off your Tumblemon every time they blink.
It giving me a Sunariza if my board is empty is not an adequate reason to run it instead of something like Promo Close which is giving me memory with a much easier condition and letting me recycle my sources.
The potential to steal turn seems like too much of an edge-case for it to be worth it in lieu of spending that memory on anything else.

EX6 Diaboro giving all your tokens [Jamming] ensures they don't immediately blow up when slamming into security due to their shit-ass dp, and giving them [Blocker] provides a nice wall of chumpblockers. Playing tokens when your opponents play digimon is also a good way to enable EX6/BT17 Infermon's inheritable during your opponent's turn, but that can be played around easily enough, and I consider the lord effect for your tokens more important.

The ace is less necessary, and you can substitute in BT22 Diaboromon at this point, since you're just missing out on counter timing, and some targeted deletion that's dependent on how many diaboro you have on the field, opposed to starting from lower levels and crawling up. The low play cost of the ace (6) also leaves it really susceptible to anything that can pop based on that. Further, the Ace has 1,000 less DP, before you even take [Alliance] into account, and it sucks ass checking into some 11,000 sec digi, and losing an ace because Diaboro has low DP. For the longest time, I ran BT2 Tsumemon, because that 2k was the difference between surviving a check, or not. God I wish it was all-turns, though. But that's where blockers, and the new Arata Sanada redirect kick in.

Oh, it should be noted, EX6 Diaboro's blocker/jamming effect applies to OTHER Diaboro, so it won't provide it to itself; you'd need two on the field, for them to cover each other.

As for tamers, I prefer 2/4 for bt22/bt5. I like the redirect of BT22 Arata, but it always feels bad when you get multiple memory setters on the field, but I'm always happy to get more BT5 Aratas out to birth more tokens, and provide some memory gain. Might lower it to 2/3, but I want to hit those tamers when I dig.
Then add in whatever ratio of mem boosts, trainings, scrambles you hate the least at the time of building the deck

Other Musings:
- ST15 Tai Kamiya was what I used as a memory setter prior to the new Arata.
- I had BT17 Armageddemon for a bit, but I never played him ever. 13 cards in trash is a huge ask.
- Doomsday Clock is an ultra meme.
- BT3 Beast Cyclone can be nice if you have a lot of diaboro tokens w/ ex6 on the field. Blocker grants them the sec +1, jamming ensures it lands
- BT5 Catastrophe Cannon exists. I dunno if I'd use it.
- ex6 kera is a searcher, but the benefit of grabbing 'options' in addition to tamers, and at the cost of digging two cards less than bt5 doesn't seem like a good tradeoff, since i'm not running ddc/cc. inherit is insurance, which is kind of boring.
- bt17 kera allowing you to warp into bt17 infer for
de-digivolve interference during your opponent's turn can be fun, but you're skipping kurisari (which have a lot of good effects), and the insurance inherit is - once more - not that exciting as i would rather my stacks not get popped. There is, however, the scenario in which a diaboro explodes into multiple tokens, and you get a bunch of checks that seems fun, but you'd have to build for it.
- ex6 kurisari can pop a diaboro token to reduce the playcost to 2, and can delete a 3 cost on play. inherit is playing a diaboro token on delete. Boring

The anti reduce play cost floodgates can really slow them down, and if you get to a level 6 or higher that doesn't die to Kurata before they get to Belphemon it can give them a hard time. A level 6 that floats into something smaller won't work because after Kurata kills it, Rage Mode will just nuke it. And as a corollary, if your level 6 doesn't die to Kurata, a compatible level 7 Ace can really fuck up Rage Mode.

They definitely aren't going to hit Adventure because Adventure hasn't put up any particularly dominant results. And frankly, I don't think it deserves it. It's just an easy deck to build and play, not an overwhelmingly strong one.

Omni might get a slap on the wrist, but I don't think it will be all that meaningful. The only meaningful hits I can foresee are probably killing the new turn skip combo, and maybe hits to Gallant/Megidra/other Guilmon engine decks, and maybe a hit to Royal Knights.
