>Leaning towards you choosing which in both cases. You get to determine whether or not your existence in that state is contingent on them or not.

Huh, neat!

....I can only imagine the Narrator's conniptions about having two shards/vessels in one world. Nothing that the knife can't handle though, I'm sure. Not the worst thing to go wrong for a him either, so he should be grateful its only that. What's the worst that can happen?

So, I was having my dramatic final confrontation with Darkseid's true self outside the Source-Wall in the void between multiverses. Plan was pretty simple, I keep him focused on me with support from Highfather, full SotG Zeus and like, 500 Trigons fused into one Super Trigon, while my tech-oriented companions set up a galaxy-scale Black Barrel upgraded with New God tech and powered by the combined souls of every New Genesis-native New God, to fire a Radion bullet into the back of his head. Everything was going great, and I had Calamity Jane manning the controls so she could create a conceptual weakness at the core of Darkseid's existence to make sure he actually died and stayed dead this time and, well.

Unfortunately Darkseid noticed a break in my attack pattern, and took the brief opening to hurl Kalibak's true form at the big gun and the island of mordite it was built on. Kalibak exploded on contact, and that knocked most of my companions and followers off the island into the void. Except.....well. Starscream.

And, uh....you can probably guess who he decided to shoot.

Lesson of the day! Always have 2 more 1-ups than you think you'll need.

Morning anons. Have a bit of writing.

Thunk! Another arrows loosed. Venti can't help but flinch in the moment it takes to fly from its bow at him before plinking off of his chest. A breath follows and he drops the ki in his skin. Dropping the mental focus it took to keep it specifically in their skin and muscles.
"Nice job." his shooter comments from across the court. "
You've definitely got the speed for triggering the technique at this point. Better than that other technique you're still trying to learn. We were lost following you for hours!" Rituska gives a wry grin. Stringing another arrow and aiming at him.
"Hey. Thats hardly fair. We did that months ago. I've gotten much better at the sonar since then." Venti protests shaking his head. He takes a breath drawing his ki back in before a arrow once again strikes him straight in the chest. Clattering to the ground.
"I was blindfolded anyway, you try to find a lake on a mountain blindfolded with a technique you're still learning and see how easy it is."
THUNK- another arrow hits him joining its brethren on the ground. "Hmm well maybe we'll have to try again sometime. I know you need me to be there to save you from the big scary bears." The red head snickers.
"If I wasn't blind, I wouldn't of needed to be saved. Though you sure didn't seem like you minded though." Venti grins. Rolling their shoulders back and looking to the ground at the small pile of arrows that had accrued there. He crouches down to begin gathering them when he looks up.
"From what I could hear you practically wrestled the poor thing."

"Well maybe I did. I gotta watch out for my bro don't I?" Ritsuka asks taking the arrows from him. He snorts.
"I still can't get used to you calling me that." THUNK! another arrow hits him harmlessly.
"Well your have to get used to it. Your stuck with me now." Another plink as a arrow hits him. Venti just sighs and nods. He had to give her that at least.
"Yeah I guess I am. I don't mind it though really though. It would be lonely in this whole world by myself." Ritsuka beams at his confession with a grin.
"Ha! I knew it. You are a softie at the end of the day. You're lucky to have a sister like me. Now hold still and let me shoot you more."

"Never thought anyone would ever tell me that either or I'd actually be willing to oblige them."
He ponders watching her casually draw back the mortal bow. "You do have some wild training methods Ritzy."
Her response is the twing of the bowstring being let loose and a arrow striking him. Its weight thumping against him. Venti catches it before it falls. Running a finger down its side.
"You've got the oddest nicknames for me, but, It's working isnt it? You've got most of it down so far." Ritsuka asks pausing for a moment. Venti just has to nod for a second time.
"Yeah it is. Your pretty effective. Even if its wild...and somehow still less terrifying then lady raiden."

"Lady Raiden?" Ritsuka questions. "Isn't she one of the senior disciples? Never spoken to her."
"Mmhm." Venti nods as she aims another arrow his way. "She's a tutor in the soul compass style. Sometimes I study under her when the old mans busy or away. She's a little scary, a real menacing aura."
"Oh! Her, The purple lightning warrior." She asks in between shots. "She was already here when I joined. None of the novices or junior disciples around know what her story is. She's been here for a long time. What's she like?"
"She's... not much of a talker." Venti closes his eyes taking a breath before another arrow hits.
"Every time we've spoken its just instructions on something with whatever we're learning that day. Very... formal, Chilly almost. Not angry but it always felt like I needed to have some reason to be talking to her.
Ritsuka winces.
"Well she doesn't really sound like that fun a person." she reaches back for another arrow and finds her quiver empty. "Well we've gone through the quiver about five times now. Want to break for lunch?"
Venti sighs but nods stretching.
"I don't think its good to make judgements without really knowing someone like that but sure lunch sounds good."

The first time you managed to deflect an arrow with your bare skin mist have been an amazing moment.

>"From what I could hear you practically wrestled the poor thing."
If someone who’s reached the third stage of God Body treats that bear as something other an annoyance to swat aside, you probably did need saving.

When you’re thousands of years old, and bending time, space, and reality to your whims is as natural and automatic as breathing, it’s hard not to be intimidating. Add in a naturally stern and serious demeanor and it’s not hard to see how you’d feel that way.

[40K: Orks]

Drawback: Nemesis (1200)

Goffs

Prime Ork (600)
Goff Rokker (Free)
Kunnin' Brutality (500)
Nob (300)
Prophet of the Waaaagh! (0)
Proppa Choppa an' Dakka (Free)
Bonebreaka (Free)

Oh, right. I almost forgot about these guys. Please imagine a sudden growth spurt into a Krork as all my genetic heritage and maximised physique perks kick in at once, freeing me from stunted growth.

Now imagine a montage of me walking up to random orks, punching a hole through them, using Charms to triggers lots of "Zog me, he krumped 'im in one punch! He's One Krump Boss!" and "Dat's proppa choppy that is, roight proppa 'ard!" from the survivors instead of anger, and occasionally being grabbed by a giant green hand in the Immaterium (formerly the Warp) and tossed somewhere else I can fight the strongest orks ever.

Now imagine every ork in the galaxy gathered on one planet cast into the Immaterium expectantly watching me fight like a hundred thousands of their leaders at once and win.

"Do I have everyone's attention?" I asked.

"Yez, boss" chorused all the surviving orks dutifully.

"You have fulfilled your purpose as biological weapons. Your purpose as a species has come to a end"

...

"WOT?!" yelled a grot at the back. "There has been enough dakka" I clarified. "ZOG THAT!" protested a second grot. Far at the back.

"Which is why I'm about to unshackle everyone's genetic potential. As you feel your limiters broken, pay attention to the fact that I am BIGGER and GREENER than everyone else here"

I transformed into the Universe Emperor Shintai, and with a regal gesture transformed all the orks into Krorks. "Yes commander, we acknowledge that your martial prowess and viridescence are far superior to our own" chorused the suddenly more eloquent Krorks all at once.

"Fantastic"

"...commander, now that we have achieved sufficient kinetic energy, what is the purpose of our existence?" asked the former grot.

I silently counted from 5. Suddenly a panicking Necron teleported into the midst of the newly resurgent Krork species. "Am I too late? Oh NO, I'm too late!" exclaimed Orikan the Diviner, shaking a fist at me. "YOU! This is NOT your universe, this is NOT your timeline! How DARE you meddle in my great race's history, imposing yourself where you are NOT welcome! The stars will echo my revenge on you for all eternity!"

"Oh look Zoggington, it's a post-biotransference member of the illustrious Necrontyr race!" exclaimed one Krork.

"My word, it is!" said another, as Orikan reeled in mounting panic. "In the name of our patron psychic egregore Gork, and our other egregore Mork, who excel in surreptitiousness and pugilism, I propose we demonstrate our combat prowes upon him!"

"There you go. There's your final opponent. Prevail, and I'll consider it enough of a favour to find you all a place in my cosmos" I said, vanishing.

"N-no! Stay back, you monsters!" yelped Orikan, as superweapon after superweapon unfolded behind here. "I-I-I came here prepared to bind a god, do you not understand?! I have armies of replicating scarabs! Weapons that can distort space and time! Ships that can shatter worlds!"

The Krorks all gave him big, winsome grins. "Oh, we fully comprehend that, sir" said a third. "In fact, we relish the experience of combat with you! It's certain to be enlightening for all parties involved!"

"B-but many of you will DIE! No, not just die! NEVER HAVE EXISTED, FOR I ALONE MY PEOPLE HAVE TRULY MASTERED TIME!"

"That sir, is the most EXHILARATING thing I've heard all day!" said a fourth Krork before breaking into a thunderous warcry.

Orikan's horrified screams were quickly drowned out by the supernova cannons and Warp-neutering pylons he deployed around himself, as the newly minted Krorks descended upon him like the fist of Gork. Or possibly Mork.

>The first time you managed to deflect an arrow with your bare skin mist have been an amazing moment.
It was! Definitely Its basic but the enhanced strength and durability with burning ingots pretty notable for someone whose otherwise fairly normal. (Even if that mundane mortality is getting eroded away surely but slowly at this point.) Progress is slowly being made and times passing.

>If someone who’s reached the third stage of God Body treats that bear as something other an annoyance to swat aside, you probably did need saving.
Possibly though the idea I was going with was Ritsuka was essentially just having a bit of fun. But it didn't backfire horribly as much like the wolfos did for Alicia.

>Watching Ritsuka cross a decent sized courtyard in one second must be amusing.
Forgot to add in her walking back but this scene was mostly a dialogue while they were training was the idea.
God body's early techniques make good training scene material I feel. I imagine bloody queenching/The third technique might have Ritsuka have him running along a wire having to keep balance.

>When you’re thousands of years old, and bending time, space, and reality to your whims is as natural and automatic as breathing, it’s hard not to be intimidating. Add in a naturally stern and serious demeanor and it’s not hard to see how you’d feel that way.
Was my thinking a bit without context or familiarity it can come off as a little intimidating.
Theres also another reason she comes off that way a bit. but that may not be relevant until later. I imagine there's a good few of those figures and small rumors for novices and newer disciples when they join. Things they don't know or people who can come off as intimidating without context. Of course, those selfsame students who are left wondering a bit and left talking amongst themselves become the base for the very same rumors and being misread by the next group eventually if they don't wash out.

Just wait until you reach The Vessel Reforged and this becomes your baseline.

Yeah, Ritsuka could play around because she was punching way below her weight level.

>Forgot to add in her walking back
I thought that might have been the case, but I prefer the idea that Ritsuka crossed a massive courtyard in seconds, and Venti didn’t comment on it because he’s used to that.

>I imagine bloody queenching/The third technique might have Ritsuka have him running along a wire having to keep balance.
>Ritsuka: Nah, I’ll start you with a wooden pole. Wires are the midway stage of training.

She probably isn’t going to open up either, unless you happen to catch her at the right time.

Yeah Vessel reforged and in general technique 5 across the styles is when stuff sort of comes together to be more then the sum of its parts in both divine delusion and god body. From mostly party tricks functionally to very much not being just party tricks.

>I thought that might have been the case, but I prefer the idea that Ritsuka crossed a massive courtyard in seconds, and Venti didn’t comment on it because he’s used to that.
Definitely normalized for him at this point.

>>Ritsuka: Nah, I’ll start you with a wooden pole. Wires are the midway stage of training.
I now wonder what would be latestage for bloody quenching.
I'm imagining as a way to practice venti temporarily joining a circus that was passing through to practice balance/dexterity.

>She probably isn’t going to open up either, unless you happen to catch her at the right time
Probably not. But thats okay. It's mostly just world building at this point. Other sect members.

>Also, you bringing in Raiden has me imagining your Divine Delusion teacher as either Cloud Retainer or Citlali.
I was imagining Raiden as a combo of a Soul/Mind cultivator but mostly teaching soul. I could see citali as a divine instructor. Don't have anyone firm in mind for that yet. Maybe Cloud retainer as a eventual friend given the shared air affinity. Sort of drawing from my general interests for inspiration for characters and setting here. I imagine there's a certain blonde look alike space sage somewhere in the sect. Or maybe they'd be in one of the groups of novices that come after venti's arrival.

The Vessel Reforged would probably be easier for you than it was Ritsuka. She has a very good affinity with God Body, but you’d handle sitting in one place and meditating much better than she would.

>I now wonder what would be latestage for bloody quenching.
Jumping from wire to wire with your arms bound behind you.

Combination friend and mentor figure who helps you hone your Air affinity, I’d say.

True. Venti can meditate pretty well at this point. A silver lining of tri cultivating is that skills in one style can be applied to another. Getting up to 50X or 60X peak humans still going to take a while though.

>Jumping from wire to wire with your arms bound behind you.
The Venti of five years ago would be struck speechless seeing that.

>Combination friend and mentor figure who helps you hone your Air affinity, I’d say
Fair I could see that. Maybe make her a engineer by this worlds standards to.

I think we're accidentally sharing braincells again because it is pretty in line with what I was thinking as well. Maybe have them be isekais from earth. Given Venti wasn't the first and probably not going to be the last either. The cycle continues in a sort of way.

You’d probably slowly climb to X20, unlock The Smelting Breath and rocket up to X30, reach X40 at a reasonable pace, and once more slowly climb to X50.

>The Venti of five years ago would be struck speechless seeing that.
And the Venti of five years in the future would regard doing that with his eyes shut as a casual morning workout.

A mentor with a student who has a strong affinity introducing them to an older cultivator with that same affinity would likely be a normal thing at the sect.

Acknowledging that there are things you can't control isn't being a Chaos Cultist anon. It's just acknowledging that you have limits and that other people have the ability to make choices you may not like, so you have to give them reasons to actually want to help you.

Possibly. I know we just spoke once about probably wanting to get to 50 or 60 to start carving out the ki pathways in a safeish manner.

>It’d give you something else to learn.
True something to add to the big list of things to try in the wide time frames it takes to cultivate.

>You could have them come from several hundred years in Earth’s future, but show up after you’ve established your lands and clan. Renko would probably go Mind/Soul, while Maribel would triple cultivate.
Hmm whats the logic behind Maribel tri cultivating out of curiosity? out of the three styles she feels like she'd be divine delusion. maybe mind and soul but I don't know if god body would gel with her much.
Though she possibly could if her teachers venti anyway given their one.
Them coming from the same earth as venti could be sort of bittersweet to, even if theirs no way to truly confirm that. A true sign his original worlds moved on without him there.

Side thought but as a world building sect I'm imagining a tournament held between the various different sect branches of Hyrule about once a century where cultivators in the second stage or above compete in a various challenges. From martial arts with god body users to magical duels and something akin to Fire emblemesque war games for advanced divine delusion cultivators. Could be fun to have ritsuka get a moment to shine in a tournament.

>Hmm whats the logic behind Maribel tri cultivating out of curiosity? out of the three styles she feels like she'd be divine delusion. maybe mind and soul but I don't know if god body would gel with her much.
I was thinking about how Yukari is fairly tough, but now that you mention it going pure Divine Delusion does sound more like her. Not like it’d be hard to make yourself physically tougher with DD.

>Them coming from the same earth as venti could be sort of bittersweet to
Meanwhile Renko and Maribel would find it something of a relief, since you’d be proof that they can make a new life for themselves there.

Actually, this has me imagining something different. Maybe Renko and Maribel didn’t come to Hyrule by chance, but instead Maribel was meeting you in her dreams, and you taught her a few things relating to alchemy and arrays. One day they were testing out a teleportation array, but when they activated it they’d been talking about you and so were thinking about you, and Maribel’s connection to you meant the beginner’s array could transport them to you. You could send them home, but now that they’ve arrived in the world they spent so long dreaming about, why would they want to go back?

>A true sign his original worlds moved on without him there.
And Venti will have moved on just as much, if not more so.

Hold it in Hylia’s Dreamscape/world. What better place to have a tournament then somewhere where you can just ask for the laws of reality to change to help make the tournament better and safer.

Fair. I might go with her being a very powerful Divine delusion user.

>Venti: Well... If your sure. I'll have a house set up for you.
Honestly he'd probably adopt them if that happened. Maribel doesn't have the best relationship with their family anyway.

>And Venti will have moved on just as much, if not more so.
True. Honestly it makes me think perhaps he's not even on a chain in the traditional sense. Perhaps that was what his mind constructed a bit when he was falling in between worlds. How it made sense of the sheer chaos from a mortal perspective.

>Hold it in Hylia’s Dreamscape/world. What better place to have a tournament then somewhere where you can just ask for the laws of reality to change to help make the tournament better and safer.
Not the worst idea honestly. I wonder if that'd interfere with any of the metaphysics with the other cultivators nascent realms but it probably shouldn't.

Yeah, saying her affinity for Divine Delusion is so massive she could complete the first realm in a little over a year if you didn’t hold her back to make sure she was forming good foundations would make sense.

>Honestly he'd probably adopt them if that happened.
Maybe not direct family, but adopting them into your clan would be a very good deal for them. It’d also bring things full circle in a meta way, you had that one chain where Yukari was your advisor, now Maribel is the student who turns to you for wisdom and guidance.

Yeah that'd be appropriate I feel. Make sure to keep her grounded a bit in a way to. Lest she disconnect from physical reality entirely.

Mmhm. Different contexts a bit but at the end of the day both genuinely wishes to help the other. Might need to recheck the timeline and readjust things now that I think about it but I like this.

Yeah, that would lead to a more Touhou canon Yukari, whereas with you as a mentor keeping her grounded she’d be more of a teasing but benevolent figure.

>Might need to recheck the timeline and readjust things now that I think about it but I like this.
Come to think of it, you could take things even more full circle. The old man gave you the name Venti, and you could give Maribel the name Yukari.

See I was thinking about the same thing honestly. Of it being a bit of a cultivator tradition in hyrule once someone's made fairly decent headway into there path they take/be given a new name. I was gonna roll with Venti just getting his early. I could very easily see Yukari being Maribels. I just need to think of one for Renko eventually to.

Fair I get that vibe from the two as well. Renko I think would be soul compass and divine delusion still like you said. She's not to body focused either but I could see her interest in the material and scientific world being relevant a bit.

Yeah, she’d become what the Generic Xianxia professions list calls a scientist. Add in the fact that Nayru is a goddess of Science and she’ll love it there.

Yeah, it’s a matter of having a strong connection to something or someone back in reality, so the only challenge would be deciding which connection she wants to draw on. And this is assuming she doesn’t leave a small gap open where she left, in which case she could just walk right btgvtpack out.

Honestly, such a thing would be fairly common in clan compounds. DD and SC both treat warping space to create rooms that are larger on the inside as a party trick by the third stage, and once you get into the second realm making large estates inside of a single room that are permanent would be straightforward. You’ll likely have several such spaces in your clan compound, so Maribel/Yukari would study your work when preparing to set up her own room.

Also, it just occurred to me, if you need a name for Renko to take as a Hylian, there is a character in Touhou that has a strong connection to Yukari and has a similar hair color to Renko.

It’s handy for all kinds of things. Need more room for the disciples? Just make the living quarters bigger.

>You know? I can work with this Renko>Reimu works for this purpose.
We can make it even more fitting. Reimu is a shrine maiden, while Renko is a scientist. In Hyrule, Nayru is the goddess of science, so being a scientist would have religious connotations, and scientific research would double as a form of worship and be a morally righteous act, since you’re carrying out the will of the gods in doing it. Add in the fact that you’ll be a saint and she’ll be learning from you, and it would make sense for Renko/Reimu to be a scientist + priestess of Nayru.

For those confused by my Jumper's lack of world-conquering goals, this takes place chronologically at the current tail end of the Mega Man arc of my original chain. Which is like, 18 jumps in

>"I won't hesitate. If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it! I made a promise to a friend"

...

War, I thought.
War never changes.
I awoke from my centuries-long slumber, shaking off the rust from my joints as I wondered if there was anything human (Pokemon totally count by the way, they used to breed together, but that's another story) left in me. Biologically speaking, I knew there wasn't. The human body replaced some cells every 7-10 years and kept others for a lifetime, but between my Conduit-accelerated physiology merging biology with photons and data, the nanomachines, and the Reploid altforms creeping into every other form I had just to keep up with the rigours of war I felt-

"Brother? Brother, are you awake? It's time to CONQUER EARTH!" yelled a voice from beyond.

"Wow, what was that? I just felt a surge of energy from you unlike anything I've seen before-" demanded Empress Roll

"...my 'mons, Gar and Blaize" I said through gritted teeth. "And then I'm going camping. You do what you like, but I'm...I'm done."

I spent the next month or so exploring the planet I apparently ruled with my friends, while being followed around by EE-Roll who REALLY wanted me to live up to my potential as an evil overlord. The viruses, who were expecting me to be some sorta Maou Demon King type, were surprised and overjoyed that I just wanted to grill with them.

>Ciel's Colleague, MMZ

I ended up making a bunch of Reploid bodies for them to inhabit after analysing the fusion techniques of this world, and going along with some combat droid-enhanced training obstacle courses thrown together by EE-Roll to keep my Maou Demon King (she actually kept calling me that) skills sharp. Which led to an unprecedented level of understanding between EM lifeforms, humans, and even viruses. Which led to me being called away to some diplomatic functions with Earth as a politician. Which led me to a diplomatic conference with High King Cepheus.

FUNNILY ENOUGH, there is not a lot of information on cutthroat realpolitik in Mega Man games. Also funnily enough, there didn't need to be. See, High King Cepheus was a literal child who'd been fighting off assassins all his life. He came to the conference prepared to threaten me under the assumption I was gunning for his throne too on general principle.

Now, I didn't have much in the way of charisma perks but I was a worldly warrior of steel and spirit who'd rubbed shoulders with some of the greatest heroes of the multiverse like Raiden. And Sonic. And Mario. I'd always felt inadequate to them, if I'm being honest, but nothing made me prouder than the fact I'd helped lift some of their burdens with the cheat powers and ill-gotten gains I'd somehow garnered along the way. And even in this strange new century, it'd mean the world if I could continue maintaining the peace that my old friend Rockman had fought for.

That's more or less what I told HKC in private after the public posturing, who basically broke down crying and needed a hug.

As a DIRECT result, HKC actually listened when I told him Gemini was a little psychopathic shit, and shut the guy down himself.

>Star Force: Fire Leo
>EM Wave Satellite

>+400 CP

Which led to Earth unironically hailing me as the greatest and most beloved Demon King of all time.

Like I've been saying, war never changes. The rumours had reached me: Some depressed kid had been undisputedly tied to the reappearance of being who looked UNCANNILY like old Rockman. I'd been fighting the hell out of my work-life balance, doing the bare minimum as a politician, but seeing footage of a literal ghost from the past kicked my ass into high gear.

It's surprisingly easy to whip up a fanatically loyal deep state cabal of investors and quirky minions when you're a popular foreign monarch.

I quickly learned that he was, for all intents and purposes, a new person. Even so, I wanted to ask if he remembered anything about his old life. About the wars. About me.

In the end, I never worked up the courage to go catch up.

I just had my business interests keep up with that newfangled Ability Wave stuff and had glowie types hide powerups around the kid wherever he went. He just went through life thinking it was normal for goons to drop powerups.

As EE-Roll gleefully pointed out, mostly I passed on the small scale but useful stuff. The best, I kept for myself.

Si vis pacem, para bellum. As my crew was happy to point out, it’s actually quite hard to set some sort of massive conspiracy in motion without moving lots of money around.

>Aura, Pokemon Trainer

The first power I ever truly could call my own wasn't metal, it was spirit. Sensing emotions, projecting feelings, even manifesting waves of ki as a human being. I don't know what I would've done without this, and knowledge of who the next existential threat was. But it didn't matter. Instead of wasting time and tailoring on my own whacky minion squad I called in a favour with my old friend HKC to occupy Mu when it rose, then discretly infiltrated it to confront it's would-be queen.

Mega Man's world is one of those places where flesh, metal and spirit aren't as far apart as westerners might think. That's why before a blow was thrown, I was able to use my powers to give Lady Vega a parting speech with her husband. Her robot butler helped.

>Le Mu

Lady Vega disappeared from public view until an extradimensional invasion sometime later. Around the same time, a phenomena named the Maverick Virus (nobody ever found out who named it) overtook Mu. Sometime later, an extradimensional invader made a brief and violent entry to this world-only to be hacked almost immediately, greatly weakened.

Rumours that Lady Vega discretely appeared to deprogram and console the invader before he left could neither be confirmed nor denied

By now, EE-Roll was convinced I was some sort of strategic genius playing the long game and honestly, I didn’t have the heart to correct her. Like I said, war never changes. Does a hero compromise data privacy and set up shadow governments to protect the childhood memories of a boy made in the image of his long-gone friend, crippling the evil organisation trying to hold his world hostage? Or is it the privilege of the greatest and most beloved demon king to magnanimously offer two of his rival’s henchmen the paltry price of a free life in exchange for defection, all the while directing an evolved form of the Maverick Virus and his grateful allies to not only invent the Noise Control Program ahead of time, but use it to hack a madman’s weapons so thoroughly that even if his ascension was inevitable-it was so compromised that he spent most of his battle with Geo falling over?

>Meteor G

I don’t have the answers. Raiden once told me history would judge us both, but to make my play I’d put myself above history’s scrutiny. EE-Roll told me she was proud I'd embraced my destiny as the Great Heavenly Demon King Lord. Was she wrong?

>The Black Hole Server

"So, like I said. War never changes" I told the one being I couldn't run from a fight with.

"Irrelevant" the evil cosmic sysadmin told me, black hole looming behind him. "Geo is on a honeymoon with his girlfriends. There is no one left with the power to stop me"

. . .

>Dormant, Mega Man X (SMTanon edition)

"Are you sure about that?"

"Wait! This power, it's-a star?!"

"It's a perpetual motion machine system that converts matter, energy, DATA into nuclear energy at the cellular level-or what passes for that. It refines and improves all systems integrated into me faster than thought. And guess what? You chose to fight me in a black hole...of data"

And then I started spamming Area/Double eater over and over again.

I'm gonna get a perk sharing perk to share Perfect Compatibility from Transformers Kiss Players with the lesser selves from Duel Terminal Part 2's XYZ of the self so I can have a permanent 200% bonus to everything
>Transformers Kiss Players - Perfect Compatibility: Some unknown attribute allows you to bring 120% out of any fusion. In addition, you can resist your will being subsumed into much stronger beings, and even briefly take command of every other entity controlled by your attacker. Spend 600CP

>Duel Terminal Part 2 - Xyz of the Self – 400 CP (Discounted to Vylon) I suppose you might desire to taste this power before others even know it exists, but this is something most could not even understand. You are not a person. Or rather, you are not a single person. The truth is that the person you’ve been until now is the result of three other beings using Xyz to become a single entity, and though they have no qualms with being themselves, they rather like being you and would prefer to stay that way. Their individual abilities and personalities are directly derived from you, seeing as they are what forms you. As for how this benefits you… being killed in this Xyz state will simply cause your constituents to harmlessly break off from your disappearing body, and while they’ll need to rest before being able to merge into you again, they are still your equal when put together. All three of them must die for you to truly be killed. Ending your life is a bit more complicated, now.

This really underlines a lot of the mindset of SBfags. Jumpchain is a writing prompt, so you want to make an interesting story, whether Jumper is a self-insert or an original character that you're granting the chain. That's where 'you have to entertain Jump-chan or you chainfail' is essentially based: Narratively, you, the writer, are Jump-chan, and shelving the chain because you got bored and abandoned it is chainfailing.
SBfags aren't writing stories, they're thinking: 'What would I do if I, personally, went on a chain?'
With those stakes, being a boring cowardly fuckweasel that accumulates as much power as possible as quickly and safely as possible makes perfect sense, because you have endless opportunity and an eternity to lose.
