I made an "Edward the shady scroll-seller" as a play on /slop/'s own Edgar Scrolls. He's been a fun recurring shopkeep NPC whom the players would keep encountering in odder and odder situations.
They just "rescued" him from slavery in Menzoberranzan, and by rescued, I mean purchased from a lonely drow matron. The PCs have declared him free because they don't want to be slave owners but can't tell the rest of the drow that, so Edward is stuck in their base of operations. Edward insists he was worth far more than what the PCs paid for him but does acknowledge he owes them and so offers them a discount on his products until said debt is paid.

Mostly Edgar; I play him as a recurring merchant with chains across the world, where he can appear instantaneously if need be. I have him as a competent but self serving general vendor but particularly scrolls and magic items, whos a little in love with himself but ultimately kind hearted. The party might come to him for a map or just for a little refresher. Porn 'n Beenz also appears occasionally but they're just a regular meat vendor in a single location.

But this is the same party that did go on a more-than-three-month sidetrack to interfere with a couple merfolk kingdoms to make gay marriage legal. In a game I DMed for shadowrun the party face got into a full stop charisma war with a corpo media personality trying to extract information. Across 4 contested checks, they tied each one with 7 successes, 9 successes, and two 8 successes checks. This scene followed, he got a new 1/4 contact, who became a 5/4 contact, and 8th session got married. Different checkpoints do different things. Models like wai-nsfw or plant milk create very nice, polished-looking gens but are also somewhat rigid. Something like ntrmix is a lot more wild and freeform which can create more exciting results, but overall are lower quality. Best used with already messy styles like Amano.

If I had to describe walnut it gives things more depth, thicker linework, I think it's well suited to retro styles like that

As little a detail it might seem, personally, I think it was a masterstroke of character creation, that also happened to gave Hyun-ah a better fighting chance with preserving her humanity, much more than "wrestling" with Priscilla.

in related news my DM dropped a new campaign on us last night. We finished the chapter in his campaign last night and so it's on pause while he writes up the next chapter in the saga (we're on chapter 10 now) and so for the moment are switching from dnd 5th edition over to rifts and gonna fuck around in that for a bit. everyone is starting at max level for their class AND we get to run 2 more classes starting at lvl 1 on top of it. should be interesting as the rules start full max level of class but no gear due to a dimension rift. should be interesting to see how it goes with just some clothing and no equipment.

This is an interesting take. In my campaign, they're called the Lumen, and they are celestial spirits/constructs that cannot speak, and often appear in places where dark forces are the dominant power. They seem innocent and naive at first, but can suddenly burn bright and radiant, standing fearless against evil.
