Art, Games and Endings
Just finished my final campaign, probably the last one I'm going to run. Started out over 6 years ago in DND 5e and switched to Pathfinder 1e. I'm not a good artist, but I made some drawings about my players' characters throughout the years.

I obviously made this thread to share about my game, but feel free to post your own parties and talk about the games you're running or playing. I'd also like to see art created for your games, as well.

Damn, these look cool. Sands of Karak especially. Were they all part of the same world, or set across a multiverse type deal? Was there any running thread throughout them all?

They're all part of the same world, set on three different continents.

One was an eastern continent full of deserts and mountains, a sort of ancient near-east/central asia type of deal (Sands of Karak, Age of Tyranny, Reign of Sorcery).

One was a western continent, with a more temperate environment, full of forests, goblins in the forests, alpine mountains, orcs in the mountains, and an empire that span almost the entire continent. (For the Empire, the Anarchy, The Bereaved, Enemy Within).

The final continent was an archipelago/series of isles in the northern sea full of lizardmen and elves and the ancient remnant of a dead god. I didn't get to explore this one, because the game I was setting it in took quite a sharp turn, when the tiefling character killed the ship's bard in his sleep, and the game went from Volsunga Saga to Treasure Island, with mutinies and treacheries (Winds of Change).

The only two running threads were the Empire in the western continent, which over the campaigns, went from a rising empire to a failing one. The other thread was an orphan girl, who was adopted by the party in the Reign of Sorcery game, and she was given to the tower of mages to study magic, and she returned as an adult in the final game.

Here's another drawing, although it's quite unfinished and the lizard looks too much like a digimon.

ALSO, they're all set in my homebrew world, which I spent quite a lot of time creating. More time than I should have perhaps, because I didn't use even half of it, although my players were quite engaged in what they saw. A lot of it was added to by the players through their backstories and choices.

Do you have a setting document?
Were these all played with mostly the same players?

Mostly the same players. The first game had the most amount, but they petered out to a stable core of four players. I have to commend them, they were really great players.

I don't have a unified setting document. A lot of it is in my head, or in my campaign notes, or in scattered .txt files, or in private messages with my players.

But I have written down blurbs and primers for my players so they know what kind of adventures to expect. Here's the first primer I wrote, and it explains the setting rather well.

I just finished this drawing of my battle master, the game is heavily homebrewed but really fun. She's an expeditioner in the Underdark (only recently unearthed). She really likes weapons.

Very cool stuff, nice to see such a large-scale game being pulled off. I'm also on my last adventure, but it's kinda scaled back to the starting area a bit. Too much creative load for me otherwise, sadly.
Got any fav moments?

That looks cool. I like the tridents.

Thanks. And yeah, I have plenty of favorite moments.

One of the players was both intentionally and unintentionally funny, and ended up "suffering" the most because of it. His first character was a half-orc barbarian, and him and the party were stuck in a closed-down ancient city. They attended a nobleman's party and he tried to get on the dance floor. He spun his token around, and I made the entire party stop and walk away from him. It was such a small moment, but his reaction was indescribable and it lives rent-free in my head.

Another favorite moment was when one of the dwarves in the first campaign tried to rally the party to fight a troll on a bridge. Since the troll was guarding a bridge with a dried up river, they could've just walked around it, and they didn't want to fight the troll. However, the dwarf player insisted, and he charged in alone, and ended up being chased around for a few laps by the troll before the party begrudgingly accepted to help him.

Congratulations, anon. You put in some good work, and I hope you are satisfied with it all.

I have to ask, though. Why will this be your last campaign? A conclusion to this story, this saga, this world, I can understand. But is there a reason you might not tell a new story someday?

Real life obligations and running out of (good) ideas. I've been running these games almost every week for 6 years and I'm starting to feel worn out, so I'd rather stop before it becomes a chore. Maybe I'll go back to GMing in a year or two, but for now I'm happy to let one of the players take the reins.

I was thinking of writing a campaign journal for a forum or /tg/, but nothing truly epic happened. All the campaigns were low level (Up to level 10) and personal, very memorable to us, but since I didn't railroad them, they may come off as schizophrenic and truncated, as player actions had major impacts on them.
