It's fucking stupid because we all know why the DM would do it, and you can't tell me it's for creative reasons. The DM did it because they think disability is trendy and cool to have nowadays. This isn't a missing eye. This is the missing ability to fucking STAND UP and WALK. Cripples say all the time that they wish they could walk again. This is pure fetish shit that people who love to be the victim push all the fucking time.

Plus, it's uncreative. Why the fuck would a cripple god even use a fucking MODERN Wheelchair? Why not a Chair that can move its legs? Why not use a flying rug or any other object? I mean, oh holy FUCK. Why not use materials to move their legs for them, like a magical exo-leg support? There are so many ways to show a cripple god, but you use the MOST BORING, and the LEAST creative way to do so.

This could work. Lesser deity with portfolio similar to Ilmater (compassion, martyrdom, and so on), that offered herself to primordial beasts to shield mankind from their ferocity, becoming permanently crippled in the process.
Lesser known branch of her church puts emphasis on the "offering yourself to the beasts" part of the legend.

It's funny that being in a wheelchair is absolutely cringe because no matter how hard you try, all humans instinctually understand you're a burden by being that level of crippled no matter the context but you can be blind and still be cool because you still retain 99% functionality through echolocation or sixth sense faggotry, or you're explicitly mystical in nature and have prophetic Oracle-esque powers.

If you've got godhood, I'd probably rule any disadvantage that is easily overcome with said godhood as a quirk at best, that's a mitigation that turns most disadvantages into RP flavor.
So not only would they not save you points, all the points you got for having disadvantages plus the price of the godhood would have to be reflected in some heavy limitation that can't be overcome by the godhood.

Like Hephaestus? There are more than a few cripple gods & while this is obvious adventure wheelchair bait I don't give a shit.

My party consists of me an overpowered Artificer who could body anything in the monster manual, a dwarven crusader who would rather fight than think, a bubbly druid summoner who talked a demon into repenting, & a halfling dagger mage who tries to keep the dwarf on task. Together we have been fighting the plots of God's & doing a lot of unpredictable time travel so we're pretty okay with rolling with weird shit. We would try to be diplomatic to the cripple God & figure out which side of the god war they are on. If they're evil we'd honestly try to kill them & if possible my Artificer would see if somehow capturing their divine spark was possible, & if possible if he could install it within himself to become a god with no unforeseen I'll effects. If we aren't going to fight them, then we make friends & move on

Why would anybody worship an imperfect being?
If it is an "embodied" sort of localized god, it can't be a very powerful one, if it cannot heal itself, or else it will not, because it is a god of cripples; which would be a god to propitiate to go away, not worship.

If it's a more metaphysical entity that is just manifesting, then maybe it is a test.
