>the dwarves could actually push a few centuries ahead in a time where the 15th century is the eternal norm.
And then sit there forever (thats called stagnancy).
Dwarfs get to some point slightly ahead of their neighbors and then stop there, they don't innovate or advance.
>Gnomes are just dwarfier dwarfs lol
Gnomes are the little jewish nerds who make stuff, dwarves are drunk scottish shut-ins who dont. The similarities between them are "theyre both short"
>Gnomes and humans are actually better mages than the elves in Warcraft
>Azshara
The greatest human mages were Aegwyn and Medhiv, one of which got her powers given to her by others as a combined effort and the other inherited them from his mom (who had them given to her by others)
>I’m ignoring this because it’s wrong.
Except it isnt. The extent of "dwarves are advanced" is generally "well they have some black powder weapons while others dont", its literally fucking nothing.
>They’ve done what humans in equivalent eras could not.
Except they can and did? Humans have carved cities into mountains before. Fucking petra was made by some desert nomads.
It doesent take some great advancement or knowledge to do that stuff, it just takes a lot of time and effort.
Its like the pyramids, it looks impressive because its big, but the actual skills required are very low. Its just down to manpower.
>Yes. When the white man leaves the natives take up the reigns.
So not relevant to "it doesent take brains to dig rock" then

Smelting metal is literally one of the least advanced things. Humans have known how to do it since the bronze age if not earlier.
