They are all a mixture. I had lots of Portrait of Pirates figures since 2010 and many of those bigger ones like the admirals are perfect 1/12 scale. For large size characters like Enel, the recent Masterlise work, for medium size you've got grand line men and ichiban kuji and for the smaller ones there are figuarts zero, styling and wcf.

Autism mainly. I got all the characters heights and then went through the entries on MFC looking for statues that were 1/12 of the characters official height. I then watch videos and look for reference pictures before deciding whether to purchase. There is a bit of trial and error, but I've pretty much exhausted 1/12 now.

I'm quite new to /toy/. I'm guessing this is an appropriate place to discuss myth cloths? I've never seen them discussed here.
I got my first one, revival Sho a few days ago, and I have revival Death Mask on the way. The I struggled so hard trying to fit the kneepads into the cloth, it felt so unnatural.

Honestly. Even as a massive OP fan, I've to agree that Egghead sucked and doesn't warrant much merch. The plot was pretty forced and contrived and seemingly only served to introduce Vegpunk and fleshout out a backstory for Kuma. It was mostly a box tick exercise with very little in the way of story development. The BB/Law, Shanks/Kid and Garp/Kuzan elements were far more interesting.

They'll do it in figuarts but I think we'll have to wait til the final arc generic default outfits. Recent arcs have had outfits that are too themed to the islands to really sell but they also want to promote the new stuff. Wano samurai outfits, Egghead future outfits etc. So they just did monster trio for Wano, Luffy and Chopper for Egghead and it'll be the same for Elbaf.

I think for whatever the final arc is everyone will wear something more generic and those will be merchandise defaults. Then figuarts will commit to doing everybody. Who knows when that's gona be though.

So I sold a Yujiro recently, and the buyer complained about a weird smell when he opened it. It turns out the anti-flammable and anti-microbial coating the clothes are treated with persisted for this long, despite it standing outside the box the whole time. A single day accumulated enough of it in the plastic casing to turn it into a stinker upon unpacking. I quickly checked my battle-damaged one that was packed the whole time, and yep, it's also a stinker. The smell naturally dissipates after half a day on its own if you leave it outside, but it will 100% of the time ruin a first impression. My tip is to not leave the pants and shirt on at all if you pack them up and place them into the separate bag with the little weird anti-smelly thingy that it came with. It doesn't negate it completely, but it does absorb most of it. The figure has been outside the box for a day now, and the smell is pretty much gone completely.

For the battle-damaged one, I'd say it doesn't matter if it stains a bit, but soft goods are coated in anti-paint bleeding treatment on top of that, so there need to be certain conditions met before it even stains. Those conditions are, I dunno… humidity, heat, maybe being close to a river or open water for a long period of time. Washing it actually makes it worse and more likely to cause paint bleed. Leaving the figures lying on it's back rubing against the shirt might also lead to stains.

If you're really, really paranoid about Yujiro specifically, I can wholeheartedly recommend buying the bootleg and treating that as a dressed Yujiro. It is a 1:1 copy with a hard plastic chest instead of a soft one, and if shit happens, you can use it for spare parts on top of that. It's a pretty good deal for around 20 bucks or so, and you could field two Yujiros with it. Naturally the faces suck but if you own the original it's not an issue and you can make custom ones with the shit ones.

But honestly for Yujro specifically, I wouldn't really care too much since you will most likely never remove his pants anyway.

Huh... well, try Gundamit next time for Storm figures if the tariffs go back to normal if you are American. Or just wait for the release and get it for nearly the same price on AliExpress. Also, I mentioned it already in the SHF thread a few days ago, but the new Baki's boots transfer paint really easily, so be careful and especially remove those white bandages before trying them on. There was a soft goods chink outfit for him, and it came with socks to prevent exactly that from happening.

The shoes also make him a bit hard to balance since they are a bit uneven. Also, mine was squeaky as hell, so I recommend getting some silicone oil if you don't have any yet.

They are great figures though. If you have all of them you get a nice range of expressions.

I do regret it a bit already, but there just won't be a place for Baki figures in my "dream' collection" and I've decided to trim down. It's really one of the best toys ever made, in my opinion. The faces, the articulation, the weight when you hold and pose it, there's not much to complain about. I might pick up a bootleg one day to make a custom figure.
And man, Doppo Orochi just looks amazing too. If /toy/ were a faster board, these figures would be some of the best reaction posts.

So what is the general consensus on the new SHF Jonathan and Joseph? To me they don't seem to capture the manga aesthetic, which was also why I wasn't a big fan of the anime. I feel the SAS captures them better, but i'm curious if they could be kid bashed to make a perfect one.

WCI isn't a particularly great arc, but it does a descent job of giving sanji more depth and answering some of the questions we've had since he called himself Mr Prince, his wanted poster said want alive and had a silly picture, plus the whole incident with duval and the flying fish riders. There were even references to his body not being "normal" going back as far as Arlong Park, so it's nice when Oda connects dots decades later.
The escape half is probably more fun than everything prior to the tea party though.
